So beautiful and the staff was amazing. The restaurant had the best food we had in Italy, everything was delicious. Don’t forget to try their wine, it’s wonderful! Loved the Cortona area, and had a wonderful stay. Definitely planning to go back!

What a beautiful property. David and his team were wonderful and very hands on. Our suite was magnificent and it had everything we needed and much more. We had a delicious gourmet dinner our first night that was out of this world. They even sent a bottle of champagne up to our room for my husband’s birthday. They arranged a great winery tour that was perfect from start to finish . I can’t wait to come back to this amazing Tuscan experience.

What an amazing venue!! My wife and I spent 4 nights at Relais La Corte dei Papi. The staff was attentive to our needs and helped arranged activities visiting local olive oil farms, wineries, and a cooking class at Netta’s Kitchen. The staff arranged a driver for each experience which reduced our stress. The owner David Papi could be seen from dusk to dawn ensuring his guests had the best experience possible. When we make it back to Cortona we will be staying with David and team again!

I’m writing this as we depart Cortona, leaving the wonderful but short experience at La Corte dei Papi behind. We should have known our stay was not long enough when, upon check-in, we learned one of our rooms was upgraded because a guest was just not ready to leave! The rooms are fantastic, each with their own style and charm. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant food is creative and flavorful. And their house-crafted wine is amazing. It says something when the owner and general manager, David Papi, can be seen everywhere on the property during your stay. From check-in to dining to our departure, David is a wonderful host of the property that has been in his family for eight generations. Goodbyes can be hard, and that’s how we felt leaving La Corte dei Papi. We also decided our first day we’d be back for another visit in the future.

Beautiful, absolutely amazing hotel surrounded by the most stunning gardens. Staff is incredible, food outstanding and the rooms are gorgeous. Whatever you need the staff arranges: taxi, reservations, touring etc. Pool area is perfect for relaxing after a day of touring. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were traveling through Europe on a 28 day vacation. Our stay here was a highlight…what a beautiful place to stay and unwind. David and the entire staff are so friendly and will make you feel as if you are the only guest at the hotel. We had the Tomahawk Steak poolside and it was perfect…if you are looking for a place to relax and slow the pace…you have found it! We were close to Cortona, Montepulciano and other amazing sites…which made this a great location to start and end our days at! If you are reading this review as I did many times when researching places to stay…trust me…book it…you will be very happy here!

Beautiful 17th century boutique hotel with fabulous pool. About a 10 minute drive from Cortona - you walk into this old restored villa and feel at home. The rooms and gardens are lovely. We had dinner inbthe restaurant and it was 10/10. The owner David and his staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again. Easy on site parking.

Tiny room (very short bed!) up 2 flights of stairs. Dark. Plenty of hot water. Clean. Breakfast just adequate.

My wife and I stayed at Relais La Corte Dei Papi while vacationing in Italy for a few nights. I could not speak highly enough for how incredible of a stay this was. Would highly recommend anyone staying near Cortona - and will go as far as to say we will go out of our way next time in Italy to ensure we come back for at least 2-3 nights. You are greeted upon arrival with beautiful, lush grounds that sets the luxurious tone for the rest of your stay. The staff was very nice, gave us a personal touch, and skilled in ensuring a no-friction stay for deep relaxation. Our room was perfect, I would recommend upgrading to one of the rooms that include a jacuzzi as a must-have! Our dinner exceeded expectations in every regard. We are still talking about the food (especially Ossobuco), our wine pairing was perfect, and the service was executed better than places my wife and I have been at significantly above this price point. Great job, we will be ordering your wine and I cannot wait to return!
