Fijn hotel Jammer dat het restaurant gesloten was. Onbijt was top!

We booked a Comfort room and it did not match the photos you find on their official site or booking portals. It was 15 sqm, not 25 sqm. We had twin beds and not a queen size bed, plus the bathroom had mold between the tiles. Not to mention the unpleasant receptionist who advised us that if we didn't like our room, we could check in elsewhere. One of the worst hotel experiences ever.

Hotel a bit difficult to locate due to street variances. Parking was to right side of hotel and not in front at the original main entrance. Hotel was clearly an elegant option in it's day with a large inner courtyard still furnished with table/chairs. Friendly receptionist buzzed me in for a side door entry. Room was clean/quiet and above average size. Continental breakfast was provided in a separate building across the inner courtyard. Nice adjacent restaurant may have been part of property and seemed to be well attended by local diners who shared the parking lot.

We loved it. The hotel is a converted fortified house from the 13th century with extensive grounds that made for lovely walking in the Easter sun. Breakfast is plentiful and there’s a good choice of food, and endless supply of coffee. The bedrooms are clean, the beds comfy, and super-quiet. If that was all I knew about this place, it would be enough to recommend it. But it is not all I know. There’s more. What sets hotels apart is attentiveness to detail. And this hotel has that - all the little touches that made our stay so much nicer, they pushed the beds together since they knew we were a married couple, they opened up quiet areas for us to sit and enjoy a coffee. But there’s yet more. Staff are all friendly, competent and always there for you. Particular mention goes to the night staff, Ann-Christin and Erdal, who were somehow always able to find time for a nice chat with us despite having to manage several things at once. Go there. It’s fun.

Excellent value for money in a beautiful park setting. The hotel is modern, clean and friendly. The gym is adequate and the staff could not be more helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds particularly comfortable with a lovely duvet. The staff are the standout feature - the little touches eg opening up a quiet area for breakfast, pushing the beds together without being asked etc. Buffet breakfast is plentiful with nice choices

The property was amazing and the surroundings are wonderful. Highly recommend!

I liked thr grounds, the staff, and the position on the edge of the old town. It was a shame that the restaurant has not yet reopened other than for breakfast. There was plenty of parking but some of it was in a more public, less concealed position so some concern about security but did not have any problems.
