B&B クロチフェリ カターニア(Crociferi B&B)

Our stay in this place will remain in our memory for a long time. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the Katnia panorama, the sea and the church towers. A glass of wine and I really didn't want to go outside. It is perfectly located in the very center of attractions. Our room was spacious and clean. Italian and continental breakfasts with a selection of cold meats.

We stayed a week there. The plane was late and we were supposed to arrive at the hotel before 9pm. We arrive at 1am next day and the owner was kind enough to wake up to open the door. That was a nice start, thanks a lot for that ! Via Cruciferi is probably one of Catania's oldest streets, dating back to the Roman Empire. Today it is pedestrian, so very quiet, yet in the city center. Via Etnea is a couple of minutes away, the duomo a few minutes more. Excellent place really. The house... an old palazzo, to sure of the epoch. The bedroom ceiling is painted, just to make you happy when you wake up. Very large room, with a balcony, wardrobe, plenty of wall plugs to charge mobiles, computers etc. Even a large table in the center of the room for card players :-) The breakfast, excellent, expresso, cappuccino... various kinds of cheese, bread, home made marmalade, hams, fresh orange juice,... that's just what we ate. The lady knows her city and is willing to help. Which places are worth seeing, which guides to go to walk on the Etna (that was an experience), what are the good, real Sicilian restaurants around etc. Excellent week, and this place was part of it. This B&B was one of our favorites during our three weeks in Sicily. The location was perfect, walkable to everything, and Via Crociferi is one of the most beautiful streets in Catania. Our building and our room were STUNNING - the ceilings in our room were especially incredible. The room was clean, extremely comfortable, and the three balconies were lovely. The street is vibrant and loud at night, but we shut the doors and shutters and then it was quiet and dark, perfect for sleeping. Teresa is kind and hospitable. She made our stay great and arranged for an early morning taxi to the airport when it was time to leave, she even walked us outside to the taxi, which was very kind. Thank you, Teresa! (We highly recommend eating at the BioBar Drogeria Artistica at the opposite end of Crociferi Street - it was one of our best meals in Sicily - the most delicious seasonal and local pumpkin onion tart and tomato crostini, and lots of natural wines too. Wish we found this place earlier in our trip.)

The room was nice and clean with amazing tall ceilings! The air conditioning kept the room cool. Close by to the main area with all the shops and restaurants. Communication with the host Teresa was easy. She prepared a wonderful breakfast, and I was amazed at how she conversed in several languages with the different guests at the breakfast table! I recommend this b&b, especially for solo travelers and couples.

Teresa is a fabulous hostess and I can't recommend her BandB highly enough. Her breakfasts offer a variety of sweet and savoury foods and her hospitality is warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable, with quality linen bedding. The BandB is situated in an ideal position, on the edge of the busy part of town but in a quiet and historic street, close to quality restaurants and many of the historic sites. We would love to come back to Cantania just to stay here again.

We arrived late and left very early (3:30 am) to catch a flight. Teresa made sure we had a reliable ride to the airport. And they got up very early to help us depart. Thanks, Teresa!

Our great suite was on the second floor and in a lovely area of the city. Catania has beautiful architecture and lots of places to eat and hang out. A lovely multi lingual couple runs it with useful advice of things to do. Strongly recommended to everyone.

We spent 3 nights at Crociferi B&B during Sant'Agata festival in Catania. B&B is beautiful, clean, authentic, cozy and has a perfect location for walking around Catania city center. Teresa is a fantastic host - always happy to recommend places to see and restaurants to eat at. She also makes great breakfast and makes everyone feel at home. We were upgraded to the top floor room that has the most amazing rooftop terrace - you won't need to search for places for rooftop view drinks - just grab a bottle from a shop downstairs and enjoy the view. Make sure to ask for this room - you won't regret it. I'm definitely booking again if ever in Catania in the future. Airport is 15 min drive (Teresa called a taxi for us), train station is 20 min walk, main street is 2 min walk, main square is 5 min walk. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. It's safe and beautiful to walk around. Thank you Teresa!
