My most favorite getaway has now out priced me. My husband, myself and friends would stay a couple times a year. Now with their higher rates I will no longer be a frequent visitor. If I'm going to pay that much for a hotel I at least want an indoor pool and updated rooms. This is a sad review for me and I assume others will feel the same way. It's too bad greed has gotten out of control.
Honestly, I stayed here because the Craftsman grill restaurant is one of the best in the area! I am sorry to say the hotel DOES NOT meet the same standards. The hotel is outdated! The lobby, hallways, etc. just very old school gives me a 1900s vibe. The actual room was ok and has potential. It was just a disappointment; I would have thought it would have an inviting feel but instead its very solemn and bland. All guests are around the ages of 60+ which is fine, but I feel that's what the hotel aims for which is fine if that's what keeps them running. The rooms are all showers unless you want to pay 300+ for suite which is overall for this hotel is not worth it. The stay was not worth the price I paid and I most likely will not be staying here again and do not recommend unless it's the last resort or your only in town for business and just need an ok environment to sleep in.
This is an older refurbished hotel with comfy beds and plenty of outlets for chargers. Very clean and the night staff let us play cards in the lobby. The cons are there are no coffee pots in the rooms and there was no decaf coffee in the lobby when we arrived and none for breakfast. The regular coffee was bitter like it had been sitting awhile. There is no elevator. There is a very light continental breakfast. Tip book through a third party. our group leader got the group rate and it still was expensive.
