ズラタ ラジカ ブティック ホテル(Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel)

We stayed here for three nights as a base for exploring the area and were not disappointed. - Superb location in the heart of the old town and right on the river - Quiet rooms (despite the location) - Wonderful staff (nothing is too much trouble) - Excellently appointed rooms/comfy beds/powerful showers - Excellent breakfast (ask for anything you like or just allow yourself to be served their standard breakfast - you will not go hungry!) - Excellent restaurant for dinner (we had the tasting menu with matching wines - enjoyed trying all the local wine and the host was fabulous - can't remember his name) - No, you can't park exactly on-site, but it's not an issue as you can park 100m away and the staff come to meet you and valet park for you/collet your car whenever you need it. We never had to wait - Lovely extra touches like thoughtful leaving gifts on departure, remembering preferences for breakfast, chocolates in the room at night etc. Honestly, stop your hotel search now and cross it off your to-do-list - just stay here and you won't be disappointed. If we're ever back in the region we will stay here without hesitation. Only issue we had was wi-fi wasn't working at all in our first room (the 'Cut Out' room). Luckily the hotel wasn't full and we were moved to another room for our last night.

A brillaint experience, which started off with the warmest of welcomes even under the chilly rain. The hotel is perfectly located and has been finished to a great standard whilst being incredibly inviting. What really made our stay special were the staff who were brilliant and of course a special thank you to Gregor who went out of his way to ensure we had the perfect stay. We will be back!

What struck me most about this lovely 5 star boutique hotel is the pure love from the staff of their hotel , region and town. They wanted to create a extraordinary experience for us. You can see it is their mission! Every little detail, the goodnight cookies, homemade jams, local eggs, the divine shower, the comfy bed, the amazing meats and breakfast options, the homemade butter, the ability to provide instant service(massage) rides, dinner ideas, reservations, etc. The hotel itself is one of oldest buildings in Ljubljana but super modernized - what an incredible combination, simply stunning, stellar!!! I loved it!!

In April 2023, my partner and I went on a trip around the world to celebrate his 60th birthday. Ljubljana, Slovenia was the first stop on our journey, and we selected Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel as our temporary home. Simply put, we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The city is beautiful, compact and not overrun with tourists. The Slovenian people are amazing. Zlata Ladjica is a small hotel housed in a historic building in a sensational location in the city center adjacent to the river and a lovely plaza. Each room in the hotel is unique. After doing some online research, we chose room #24 - The City Quay. In the European tradition, the room itself was not particularly large, but the layout was was efficient, the bathroom was very spacious, the furnishings were beyond tasteful and respectful of the environment, the bed (linens included) was incredibly comfortable and the view from our private terrace was both charming and magnificent. The on site bar and restaurant, with seating both inside and out, balanced the modern with the historic. They were both intimate and comfortable, with a wide array of options and an obvious bent towards local ingredients. But it is the personnel at Zlata Ladjica that truly set this hotel apart from the rest. In a word, they were wonderful. Clearly the staff have a natural inclination toward courtesy, pro-activity and customer service, and they provide a brand of service that is personal and friendly, but also poised and refined. The hotel is located in a section of the city in which cars are not permitted. From the moment we exited our taxi from the airport and staff members met us to escort us to the hotel, we felt well cared for. Vito, Tim, Nate (Nejc), Jernej, Urska and Gregor all deserve special recognition for bending over backwards to make sure that we felt welcome and that our every question was answered. These are the type of people that, in my wildest dreams, would staff every hotel in the world. Gregor, the concierge, was particularly amazing. He went above an beyond, both leading up to our stay and during our visit, to assist me in planning a very special birthday for my partner in Ljubljana. Not only did he help me select a wonderful restaurant for a birthday dinner (Julija), but he also, quite literally, walked me to his favorite bakery in town and consulted with the owner to help me coordinate a very special, custom birthday cake to follow our dinner. He even coordinated surprise fresh flowers, chocolates and a lovely, personal birthday wish in the room. Gregor was also instrumental in helping us sort through tour options that took us to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. Zlata Ladjica is a wonderful place to stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough. While certainly not the least expensive place to stay in Ljubljana, it is worth every penny!

This hotel is in a great spot for exploring the old town, the castle and the tivoli gardens. The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. We stayed three nights and tried three out of four breakfasts. One night the weather was really bad and the staff found us a table for dinner at the restaurant. It was amazing. We did not take advantage of the airport transfers but would encourage people to do this - we used public transport which is very cheap but very slow and crowded. A big thank you to Jernej and Robert who made us feel so welcome and looked after so well.

This wonderful hotel is in the epicenter of beautiful Ljubljana Old Town. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was special. Exceptional service, beautiful facilities and rooms. We found an oasis of comfort and service. Breakfasts were scrumptious and the bar was a pleasant spot. We would definitely stay there again.

what an amazing hotel experience. rooms are imaginatively decorated. the staff at all levels epitomizes a commitment to hospitality excellence with a genuine, warm and sincere welcome. Important note. You cannot drive to this hotel so it essential that you coordinate your visit. Staff will come meet your car and make it exceptionally easy from there.

What a stunning hotel! They do everything so well. We’ve rarely experienced such thoughtful, attentive hotel staff. The room we had (Piper’s Rest) was stunning - spacious, stylish, with high quality everything!The location is also exceptional. Basically, we couldn’t ask for more for such a centrally-located small boutique hotel. This will be our only choice when we next visit the region!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely Hotel in the middle of Ljubljana. The Team was very helpful and friendly and the Hotel-own Restaurant was one of the best we tried in Ljubljana. Really an overall wonderful experience. The room was clean and they have a policy of being sustainable and using local Products where possible.
