The "Crappie Crib" is a 1 bedroom cozy little cabin designed to be comfortable and relaxing. The décor is a mix of Native American art and unique items from the area's celebrated fishing history. This cabin has all that is needed to "forget" your reality. Fish fry's and BBQ's are a mainstay on the Last Cast Patio. Relax at the “Historic and Classic” 1965 28’ Chris Craft “Last Cast” patio before and after your "Adventure". Bring your own boat or fish with us! Captain Randy has been a guide on Leech Lake for 18 years, and has over 30 years of experience. The Crappie Crib is just a 5 minute walk or 1 minute drive to the waterfront boat landing. A Rustic Hyde-A-WayThis cabin is located just a few miles outside the small, charming town of Hackensack, Minnesota. Hand-built in 1995 by the original owner, this cabin has rustic, hand-hewn logs throughout, three bedrooms and a beautiful kitchen with custom built cabinetry. It’s a true country, log cabin experience! It could absolutely suit a multi-family group. The King Suite has a wide closet and a bathroom with a full tub and hand-held shower. The bathroom is accessible to other guests without having to walk through the bedroom! Bedrooms two and three both can fit a family of four with two twins over full bunk beds. The second full bath has a walk-in shower. There is a large flat screen smart TV with Roku in the living room and Wi-Fi. This cabin is both heated and air conditioned. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The cabin is professionally cleaned between each guest’s stay. Outdoors, the cabin has plenty of parking for a group. You will find a Weber grill, fire ring, and campfire chairs for your convenience. We will provide you with cut wood for your campfire. (Do not bring your own wood, by MN law). There is a tree house in the side yard for the kiddos to play and plenty of room in both the front the backyard to be safe from the road.This property is NOT lake front. It is close to the Paul Bunyan Trail for hiking and biking trails (just 3.8 miles to City Park where you can leave a vehicle or 2.8 miles to bike to the nearest trail entrance). ATVs are welcome, with some rules. The rate is based on 10 people – maximum 12, extra person fee applies.Owned by Hyde-A-Way Bay Resort, just an easy walk away, access can be purchased, if desired:Other resort-wide amenities include a community lodge with pool, arcades, jukebox and plenty of puzzles and games. The lodge has an indoor bathroom and pay-per-use laundry facilities. The snack bar is open nightly from 5-9 p with pizza, candy, and craft sodas. Outdoor amenities include a sandy beach, water trampoline, lily pad, toddler water slide, beach toys, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and a swim dock, with boats for rental. In addition, we have two wooden parks, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and basketball court.For boat access only the service fee is $100/week or $20/day. That includes boat launch, parking and access to docks, boat slip, and trailer parking.Full resort access fee is $10/person/day.
