We visited the restaurant on 27th May at 19.00. We had written confirmation of our table reservation which included confirmation of a gluten-free requirement. The importance of the gluten-free option was discussed with the manageress on arrival. When the main course arrived, the steak was covered with a sauce. I was unsure if this was gluten-free so queried it with the waitress, who took it back to the kitchen to check. After 10 minutes waiting, she returned with the plate with no sauce. She dumped it on the table with no explanation or apology. Later, we raised it with the manageress and after investigation she said that the chef had prepared a gluten-free steak, but the waitress had taken the wrong plate. Had we not queried this, my wife would have been severely sick and ill for a day. Not what anyone expects on holiday. To make matters worse we were charged the full amount with no goodwill gesture to compensate for such a serious incident. The restaurant was very busy and the service was very slow and we were there for over 2 hours for a basic meal. However that wasn't as disastrous as the gluten-free error!!

This is a lovely place in the village of Chenonceaux,, just a walk away from the castle. THe rooms are quaint, this is an old building but it has all the you need, although I wish that the WiFi was a bit stronger. The restaurant served a delicious dinner and the receptionist was kind enough to get my cousin and I a drink while we waited for the dining room to open. We sat in the lobby and chatted away. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but there is a lovely bakery just down the street where we got croissant and coffee to go. I would stay here again in a heart beat! It was cozy but clean and comfie!

Our room in Chenonceaux was lovely! There was lots of charm but it was still big enough for two! The people who work there were sweet, friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish was better was the wifi! It kept dropping off! But I would stay here again in a heart beat!

It is very old building. No acoustic isolation. All single noise is perfectly listened . Rooms are very small and far away from being charming . The only advantage is that it is very closed to Château Cenonceaux. Very pricy for what it is

Reception: there were only two or three of us staying on a cold March day but all staff were friendly and welcoming. Location: Only 5 – 10 minute walk to the Chateau ticket office so ideal. Off road parking immediately outside. The bedroom: Smallish but attractively furnished with two chairs with tapestry seats and with old wood beams. Room 206 was under the eaves so the wood beams meant that one could not stand upright on one side of the bed. Plenty of electric plugs. Good bathroom facilities. No view from the window. Wifi reception varied as to one’s position in the room. Food: Breakfast was good with fresh coffee, orange juice and a decent selection but on the pricey side at €13. We dined there on both nights as there was little choice in Chenonceaux at that time. Nicely cooked food but nothing memorable. Entrée, plat, no dessert, a bottle of wine and coffee cost around €90 for two. Again on the pricey side. Overall a pleasant place to stay but at €415 for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast for two we have had better value elsewhere.

The building is very tired inside and out. It seemed very understaffed and the food was very poor - not gourmand as they state on their website. The service was incredibly slow and patchy - orders not remembered and so on. No help offered with luggage we are old and the stairs are steep! Sleep was very difficult as the noise from the road echoes up the narrow alleyway at max decibels. Overall not at all like the dozens of other logis we have stayed in. Avoid.

Wonderful experience

Location was excellent. Parking nearby but not on site. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Restaurant menu was limited but food very good. Only downside was the fact that the bedroom and bathroom were very small.

Hôtel très chaleureux, chambre équipé du nécessaire. Le buffet petits déjeuner est également varié le gâteau sur le buffet est très très bon. Le restaurant est excellent, du choix pour tous. Le personnel est vraiment agréable et au petit soin c'est un vrai plus. Merci nous reviendrons

Un hôtel comme ont en trouve plus! Chambre top! Un accueil parfait. Une cuisine simple mais audacieuse! Le personnel aux petit soins. Un petit déjeuner très copieux. Je recommande fortement. A 5 minutes du château à pied. Je reviendrai très vite!!!

Hôtel sans charme, vieillot et qui aurait besoin d’une profonde rénovation . Nous étions logés dans une chambre minuscule dans une sous~pente sans ascenseur pour y accéder (escalier raide et étroit. Éviter les valises un peu lourdes) - Moquette tachée dans la chambre. - Lit ancien standard de 140 pour deux personnes (ceci dit, un lit plus large risquerait de ne pas entrer dans la chambre). - Literie peu confortable (matelas dur), oreillers plats et bosselés. - Pas de volets mais des rideaux qui laissent passer la lumière y compris par les trous et les déchirures de la doublure. - Salle de bain mouchoir de poche (on ne sait pas où accrocher sa serviette, on peut faire pipi tout en se brossant les dents et en prenant un bain de pieds dans la toute petite baignoire ). - Petit déjeuner : correct - Et le jour du départ on se garde bien de nous demander comment s’est passé le séjour….. Conclusion : nous regrettons cette étape (château mis à part bien sûr). Rapport qualité prix très défavorable.

Grosse déception pour cet hôtel très bien situé à 5 mns à pied du château. Chambres qui mériteraient un rafraîchissement certain ! Tout date des années 70. Par contre, le prix est élevé au regard de la prestation. Le restaurant laisse à désirer. Le petit déjeuner est très bien même si la salle est exiguë. Établissement à éviter tant qu’il n’y a pas de changement. C’est vraiment dommage car il y a tout le potentiel pour un bon établissement.

Accueil sympathique par une équipe jeune. Belle salle avec nappe et serviettes en tissu. J’apprécie ce détail. Menu varié. Très bonne andouillette au Vouvray et croustillant de banane. Camembert chaud pour ma femme. Soirée un peu gâchée par Service un peu long.
