ピュリティ アット レイク ベンバナード(Purity at Lake Vembanad)

Charming small hotel, where the staff is wonderful. Aryuveda trea**ents where well planned and I enjoyed it very much. The yoga teacher is very kind and the morning session was great. Relaxation and bliss all the way through. Food is amazing. Only down side is that the hotel was rather empty, so I had days alone in there.

We stayed at Purity for 3 nights. Such a peaceful location on the shore of the lake. The location is wonderful and the staff couldn’t be more attentive and yet at the same time provide you with space. Two wonderful pools, one of which is an infinity pool which you can gaze relaxing at the lake. The suites (we had a lake view suite) are spectacular and continue to create a sense of calmness. We thoroughly enjoyed the food … the chef and his team did an amazing job. The food is so wonderfully tasty and it’s lovely sitting in the dining area listening to bubbling water coming from the water feature in the middle. And if you’re into art, a great selection to look at (some pay be for sale). Big thanks to Mary and all her team for looking after us so well. It was the perfect end to our vacation in southern India.

We had a really good experience here. We were lucky enough to have a couple of nights here. Immedialty you arrive in the foyer you can see great attention has been given on the interior decor and modern artwork that surrounds the lobby and restaurants. We had a large very comfortable room with a beautiful huge bathroom en suite. The staff here were delightful and helpful and made a special effort on our last night to set a delicious dinner outside by the lakeside which was lovely. This is such a great place to switch off from traveling and take a break and enjoy the serenity and peace of the lakeside and views. Its a birdwatching paradise and there is so much else to do here which is complimentary, the early morning yoga was revitalising, strolling around the beautiful tracks around the hotel was a delight seeing village life, one of the best parts for us was sitting peacefully admiring the views at sun rise and sun set overlooking the lake and the birdlife.

We were taking a break from visiting family in India and this was a perfect resort for us! We moved his from another hotel that we had booked and didnt like so we were very happy about this. Pros: 1) The calmness and serenity of the hotel is absolutely stunning 2) The hotel rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and neatly maintained 3) the ***agement went above and beyond to please my kids and made customized dishes that my children fancied, that I truly appreciated 4) The ***agement also planned activities to keep the guests entertained Cons: we only stayed for 2 days and really wished we had booked this hotel to start with! The food takes a long time to cook which can be hard with kids but they preempted this by taking advance orders during dinner

The staff were very friendly and the food delicious . It’s a truly beautiful setting , going at dawn to see the water lilies open is a must . Very comfortable beds and well equipped rooms . Could have stayed much longer . There was the option of going out in a rice barge or a canoe to see the fishing nets , My only regret was the massage . The oil used was truly noxious , and I couldn’t wait to wash it off . Three of us had the same reaction , and we all had to have at least four hair washes to get rid of the smell . To be avoided at all cost .

Our short visit to Purity was made very enjoyable due to the staff, mainly Sujith the resort ***ager. We were only there for 2 nights, and my glasses broke in the afternoon of the one full day we were there. Sujith arranged a trip in a tuk tuk, called a local optician to explain, and arranged the tuk tuk back for us to pick up my repaired glasses in two hours! We love hearing about the local people and culture, and Sujith was so friendly, explaining things to us. The chef made amazing food, including the cooking demonstration we saw. Lovely hotel and staff.

Purity is a totally relaxing and wonderful place to stay which we thoroughly recommend. The hotel is ideally situated right on the lake. The architecture is superb and the ambiance is tranquil. We had a spacious garden wellness suite with an extremely comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Food was excellent and the head chef is very visible and takes time to meet all of the guests. All of the staff were very helpful and a special mention must go to Lama for his professional, friendly and courteous ***ner. A superb stay and we will return.

Beautiful peaceful place - lovely staff - and it was wonderful to be by the water. The food was delicious, if limited, the staff attentive and charming and the room comfortable and very large. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to be back soon.

A lovely stay in such a gorgeous hotel. Attentive and kind staff. We found the bed a little small. The menu didn’t always have everything available and the milk for coffee and tea doesn’t arrive until 9am! Otherwise everything was fantastic.
