We stayed here with our toddler. We were on the 5th floor in a double queen bed room with a patio facing the inner atrium. It was a clean room, plenty of space for our toddler to run around in. We loved the patio cause we would go on it and enjoy a drink from the bar while our toddler slept. We also ate breakfast on the patio as a family. The coffee shop Kidd Coffee was really good coffee! We had the cheesecake from the restaurant for dessert and that was good too. The valet were always nice and helpful, including Patrick. Valet did take a long time at least once so we started to call for the car 15-20 minutes before we needed it. You call for the car via text and you'll get a text when you car is coming around.
ZZ4214NRnunyaThis hotel was remarkable. It is usually sold out so it’s hard to get rooms normally but when you can it is well worth the money. We would stay here every time if we could it has a amazing pool area with a full bbq area and a fire pit and also a full kitchen in your room.
I stay here for 5-7 days twice a year when visiting family. It's newer and I know the surrounding area well, as I worked in rookwood commons at Gap in high school. I like the location and the price is decent compared to the dated downtown hotels. Parking is $5/day with in/out privileges. I have always seen Hampton Inn as a no frills hotel and used it alot when on active-duty due to our discount with them. I am really shocked and concerned to see cars were broken into, I haven't had that happened. My only complaint was the rooms both times I stayed had a cursory cleaning done. It's more a Hilton brand fault for being money hungry and not having the hotel staffed properly so that the small crew they do have, have to rush. I always bring lysol wipes with me anyway, and when I notified front desk manager they apologized and sent someone up to clean it and gave me gift certificate to First Watch for two days, as well as 10K points. I hope they can stay on top of things like housekeeping and parking lot security, since this is a solid option for the area.
BBenjamin AWe had another amazing stay at this property. The room was very quiet, even for being right in the middle of downtown. We had a minor challenge when checking in with the valet process, but the next morning Tom was the hero and fixed everything and retrieved the car and record time!
I’ve stayed at Hilton Garden Inn before usually my experience with the Hilton chain is fabulous. The room was fairly nice and quite clean which is probably the most important thing to me a comfortable clean room. The desk staff was friendly. I found the meals problematic though you have to pay for your meals at the Hilton. They aren’t free and sometimes they’re not very cheap. Either my husband got steak and it was way overcooked with my meal as well. it was really disappointing, though there was food that was put out on the breakfast bar. That was no good like there was sour juice and the cream cheese had gone rancid. This is very disappointing for a room that cost $250 a night. Every other Hilton Garden Inn that I have stayed at has had a whirlpool. This one does not have one. The pool is very tiny. It’s not a very nice pool room and even though my son who was older was with his younger brother they asked his younger brother to leave the pool room as neither my husband nor I were there however, my son was old enough to be with his younger brother, so I felt a little disappointed by that. When we complained about the meals, the woman at the front desk, graciously comped our breakfast, but not the dinners which were quite expensive. This is neither of the worst nor best hotel stay I’ve ever had. I think that there are some management issues and I would place it firmly in the Soso category.
KKaitlen SImmediately upon checking in I was overcharged by $300 for my already booked stay. Staff tried to explain the days rates and said I was being only charged for $75 cleaning fee, but swiping my debit card I wasn't given an option to type in my pin and was immediately charged $851. The staff were very combative with myself and another guest who was checking out and they were also overcharged for their stay. They explained they had a system error and thats why we were overcharged. I was already upset because I was to be in town for a full week and this overcharged stay took most of the money I was going to use for that. I checked in and went to my room. The room was dirty with smudges and dirty fingerprints on the windows, tv, and bathroom light switch was caked in dirt. The bathroom shower had mold in the tile and the baseboards has hair and dirt build up from obviously not cleaning. The duvet had multiple areas of dried blood and hair on the mattress. For a Delta Marriott I expected way higher standards and was not given that with my stay. After discovering the blood I decided to check out the same day, staff couldn'tv give me a receipt and told me they would call me first thing the next morning to confirm I would be getting my full refund but could not tell me when I would get my overcharged stay back. They never called and when I called them the staff were extremely rude and told me in they already explained the day prior I would get my money back and I would just have to wait. I ended up having to contact my bank and report this for fraud considering it had been multiple days of the charge pending on my account with the money gone. I would highly recommend anyone avoid this hotel, lest you want to get scammed and harassed by staff.
I stayed for 2 nights with my cousin. It is conveniently close to a lot of eateries and only 26 minutes to Jungle Jims. However, the staff are hands down the best I've come across in a long time! Polite, efficient and extremely helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable, the refrigerator was a blessing because I needed to store my insulin. It is budget friendly with lots of hot water and cable should you need to relax before sleep. I would not only stay here again but would also recommend it to anyone who is passing this way!
