Reservation 3292 - 110 euros - breakfast included - 5th floor - 14th May 2022 Where do I start? 1) Violation of Fire Extinguisher Regulations for Hotels (see photo) Inspection not up to date 2) We are aware this hotel is not the Hilton, and our expectations were not high. But ....using recycled paper to print room number and wifi code? At check-in, the receptionist scribbled off previous notes off a cheap recylcled piece of paper. Have you no shame? (see photo) 3) Oh.... do not accept a room on their 4th or 5th floor. You will not be able to watch TV due to weak signal - so forget about wi-fi -- Their internet equipment is located on the ground floor and the signal is too weak to ensure a stable and reliable connection on the 5th floor. I went to the reception to inform that the TV signal dropped 3 times within 2 hours of our check-in. The screen shut down and stated ”no signal”. Regardless, they had the audacity to state we were ”exaggerating” and that the wifi has no disruption. It is very common in Spain for hotel owners to state that they have wi-fi. Sure they do ....they subscribe to the bare minimum bandwidth which can accommodate only the rooms within immediate proximity to the router. When I pointed this out, this hotel attempted to divert the issue by putting the blame on the rainfall that occurred in the afternoon prior to our arrival. Actions taken: With regards to item # 1: This hotel does not maintain Fire Inspection and Prevention up to date ORDEN de 25 de septiembre de 1979 sobre prevención de incendios en establecimientos turísticos, With regards to #3: the hotel's installation does not support TV viewing, nor does it support wi-fi signal in its room on the 5th floor. The receptionist REFUSED to give us her name and did not give us a complaint form. Due to the arrogance and rudeness of the staff, both issues reported to Gobierno de Aragon Departamento de Comercio y Turismo
Basic, dated room but fine for a night. For the money (€111), we found it very expensive for what it was and compared to other Sercotels we’ve stayed at. Our room (1005) was smallish and looked out on to a pleasant street off the main square. It was noisy though, with a lot of noise coming from the corridor, which is a main thoroughfare to other bedrooms from reception, and from the breakfast room around the corner. Breakfast was okay but again, not worth paying the extra for. Better to get something from one of the many bars a few steps away. The receptionists were friendly and helpful.
Elegant and peaceful hotel, well positioned for visit into Teruel (a few minutes drive to the train station car park - free use - which in turn is a few minutes walk from the historic centre). Secure parking. Lovely breakfast. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room.
Our second time staying at this hotel and it was good. We arrived with two small dogs. In order to avoid our dogs causing noise and inconvenience to other guests if we left the room, we decided to have room service. Reception advised room service was available from 20.30, however when we called ro place food order at 20.30 we were told the kitchen was closed because they were preparing for a wedding next day. A big disappointment!!.
The city itself is beautiful and the people are so nice. We hope to visit again in 2025.
LOCATION-the hotel is located just on the outskirts of the old town and within easy walking distance of everywhere. STAFF-the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating and they spoke excellent English FOOD-my wife and I had breakfast in the hotel and were very pleased with the selection available-especially as we are both vegetarian we were very well catered for BEDROOM-a lovely bedroom, very large, king-size bed and lovely ensuite bathroom PRICE/VALUE-it is certainly not the cheapest in the town but we were very pleased to pay £81 for the night- WIFI-excellent quality and strength Wi-Fi in the bedrooms- PARKING-unfortunately the hotel does not have any parking of its own -However there is a large underground municipal car park literally within four minutes walk which charged €15 for the whole day
