Just had a great stay at Days Inn. Friendly welcome from Jay who made sure we had everything we needed such as extra towels and tea/coffee. Nice quiet atmosphere and clean, inviting rooms with comfortable beds. Copious hot water for showers and effective double glazing as you are near the A1. Good parking available and a Food Court which has all the main fast food outlets plus Greggs, W.H. Smiths and M&S. Shell filling station 24hr and shop. Well placed for touring, we visited the De Havilland Aircraft Museum and IWM Duxford. I will be booking again when in the area as it is a good place to stay and well placed.
Comfortable room in budget hotel, with generous complimentary breakfast and friendly, helpful staff (who ordered oatmilk especially for me!). This was my first ever business trip away from home and I don't drive. I had fears about my stay but they were all unfounded. Manager Ann really helped me feel welcomed and looked after. Thank you!
My husband & I had our wedding here on the 12th July; ceremony & reception in the ballroom. We booked the Broadway back in October. From the start, Agnieska was fantastic at helping organise the day with all the little details, keeping in touch very regularly. We selected the hot carvery package which was excellent for 65 guests. We had family & friends travelling distance, and all managed to get booked in for 2 nights. We had use of the honeymoon suite, which was decorated with rose petals, and there was a lovely bouquet of flowers & box of chocolates left for us. The day went very smoothly, staff couldn’t have been more helpful in ensuring a room was available early for myself, mum & bridesmaids to have our make up done & get ready. Ourselves, family & friends were extremely well looked after. Everyone was happy with their rooms & quality of the breakfast. We would certainly recommend the Broadway as a wedding. Thank you so much for making our day so special 🥰.

Letchworth Hall Hotel After staying here on numerous occasions, we would not stay at this hotel again after our last visit. The room we were allocated was far from acceptable. The bathroom was musty and the room was generally dingy and gloomy. As it was only for one night we put up with it. However after leaving the next morning I realised that I had left my coat in the wardrobe, so I rang the hotel. I gave them the room number and told them of the exact place where it was left in the wardrobe. (We have a friend who lives near to the hotel who could pick it up for us). The receptionist never rang back with its whereabouts so I contacted Head Office. Nothing happened and my coat has never been recovered. I feel that there is a dishonest element at this hotel and would not recommend it.
I recently stayed at Henlow to celebrate my friends 50th birthday. Unfortunately it was a bad experience, which I will recount below - I did raise this to the manager during our stay last Sunday who said she would email that day after investigating some of the complaints. A week later she has not phoned or emailed. Here are the things that I didn’t expect from such a luxury spa as Champneys: 1. No familiarisation or adequate information given at arrival, we didn’t really know where we were going and had to ask several times through the visit - we missed several areas because of this which we only found in the last day (like the hideaway) 2. The health pool inside was always closed, it seemed to open for a couple of hours late on Saturday afternoon and was shut again Sunday morning, the outside pool was almost perminantly closed and we never got in it - we were told that a new pool takes time to stabilise but neither of these closures were explained to us at booking or upon arrival 3. Our room was very poor - a broken bed, mould on the window sill, a shower that flooded the bathroom (noticeably historic problem as the bottom of the bathroom door was damaged and veneer peeling off) - we raised this during our stay but it wasn’t resolved, also the bathroom door had its hook broken off so no where to hang your clothes or bath robe, the TV had a mobile ariel which I haven’t encountered in a hotel room for several decades, and we couldn’t get BBC 1. 4. A fire safety door close to the room that said keep shut was permanently wedged open with a rag around the handle during the whole course of our stay which posed a fire safety risk I am so very disappointed this was my friends 50th birthday treat and was meant to be a lovely experience- it wasn’t. The whole experience was not 5 star and was not relaxing as promised on Champneys website. I do not recommend as the prices are high and the quality, cleanliness, and experience were not value for money.
