We booked three double rooms for three day trip and the beautiful town of Trikala but unfortunately an accident happened to one of the couples. The hotel according to their policy agreed to return the already paid one day deposit to the couple which had the accident, but not to the other ones. Thereafter we called them one day before arrival there for discussing our options including and accepting a higher cost for transferring the booking one month later for not losing our deposits or staying there for one day making use of our deposit. The lady on the phone late in the afternoon the day before, said that generally their policy does not include transferring the booking, but she’s going to discuss it with the owner and come back to us. She never called back and when we were up to start our journey the day after the hotel I called them and they said that they had already booked our rooms to other customers. From that point and then we change several emails in which the first that we had cancelled the rooms that had never happened verbally or written and after some emails they stated that we didn’t accept the increased price for transferring the booking. I know that it sounds crazy, but this is all true. One of the proofs of my sayings is that the day of arrival they called us later to tell us that they booked us in another room in a remote village that they were not obviously obliged to do if we had cancelled the rooms ourselves as they stated. Please contact them only via email or keep proof of your conversations with them because there is a high risk of misbehaviour.

Wonderful hotel on a hill with great view on the surrounding area from the rooms, the restaurant and the outside pool. The rooms are comfortable, not top level but with all comfort you need. The sundeck with outdoor pool is just amazing !! All very new and very nice, great service at the pool and the restaurant is just next to it with outdoor seating area close to the pool. Amazing views. The hotel also has a brand new indoor wellness area with sauna, steam bath, small indoor pool and area for massages. Very friendly personnel everywhere. Nice breakfast buffet with espresso coffee, good restaurant (not top level, but good), a bit slow service at the bar/restaurant, but overall very happy with our stay. This is the best hotel close to the Meteora region (just 30 minutes drive). Highly recommended, we would for sure come back if we visit this area again.

A l’arrivée, notre gps nous indique un bâtiment le long d’une chaussée… Finalement, des panneaux indiquent le vintage suite… Des le portail franchit, la propriété vous apaise, grande piscine, palmiers et la beauté des lieux.. les hôtes sont des plus serviables et d’une gentillesse extrême. Notre chambre était parfaite. A 20 minutes des météores et 10 minutes du centre de Trikala (restaurants, château et magasins) Nous avons reçu des indications intéressantes de la réception pour les visites et les restaurants. Lorsque vous êtes à la piscine, vous recevez de l’eau fraîches et des accompagnements. Vous voulez une adresse qui sort du lot, un service intentionné ? N’hésitez pas allez y!!!

Set in the hills, a stones throw away from the monasteries of Meteora, Arsenis Guesthouse is a clean simple hotel away from the busy towns full of tour buses. We easily made reservations via email directly with Kosta and he and his family were there to greet us with water, figs, and treats upon our arrival. The rooms are spacious complete with a mini fridge and a lovely balcony overlooking the valley in the mountains. The bathroom is a decent size. However, the showers are typical Greek small. They provide a simple breakfast and home cooked dinner for an additional charge and have a fridge stocked full of soft drinks, water, wines and beers in the dining area for purchase. There’s a lovely large patio to sit to have an evening drink. We have traveled to many places all over the world, Kostas and his family are truly one of the most genuine, hospitable people that we’ve come across in our travels. Dont not hesitate to book a stay here!
