Our experience of the Hotel was not great at all. Staff were not particularly helpful. The food in the Restaurant was good when you ordered off the menu. Otherwise the Buffet was awful. The Staff in the restaurant never never served with a smile. The Bar Staff would disappear. So you could wait and wait for them to decide to come back. We booked a room with a Garden and Pool View. That didn’t happen. We were overlooking a not very nice Garden. One of the reasons we wanted to be moved was because our TV didn’t work in the room. We complained and were told it was a Provider problem and would be sorted out. It never was for the whole of our stay. Couldn’t even speak to them after the 3rd day of trying. Never worked. So asked to be moved to a smaller room than we had paid for but near the Pool. But No. Even though we were aware rooms were available. Could not believe the negativity of the staff. To be fair. The cleaner’s came every day and that was great. It’s a shame because I really don’t know why it was so uncomfortable. But it was. Even at the end on our last day. The Receptionist told me to sit in Reception for an hour and a half to wait for my pick up. Until I made them call the Agent who gave us a 30 minute window. It was all very weird. Never again.
The Coco Palm Resort was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. By far one of the best (if not the best) vacation experiences I have ever had. I'd been to St. Lucia multiple times before but only for work and so I never had the ”tourist” experience. Basically, just hotel room to meeting room. But on my last business trip, our meeting was held in the conference room at this hotel (though I wasn't staying at the hotel). After the meeting we had lunch at the Ti Bananne restaurant here and the food was EXQUISITE. As a person that loves to eat and enjoys a good meal, I couldn't get over it. That plus the large, inviting pool and the beautiful surroundings left a permanent impression on my mind. Cut to several months later and I was back home in Jamaica planning a well-needed vacation with my partner, who had expressed many years ago that she'd love to visit St Lucia. I kinda already knew exactly where I wanted to stay: the Coco Palm Resort. We spent a week here and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was just as great and delicious as it was when I had my meeting there (in fact, better). We took the all-inclusive package, so we ate like King and Queen for a week and gorged ourselves on delicious salmon, juicy chicken, well-seasoned lamb shank, and countless other great meals and desserts (and of course, we drank like fish lol). But it wasn't just about the food. The staff was so friendly, competent, responsive, and attentive. We were checked in by Carleen at the front desk (with whom we became fast friends) and she gave us the full rundown of the place. We had asked for a room with a king bed but got a room with 2 double beds. I asked if we could change to a room with a king bed and Carleen made sure we got one as soon as it was available. Since we were staying a whole week, we wanted to do a couple days of excursions. The concierge, David, was the real superhero here. Making several calls and arranging 2 days of excursions for us within a few hours and giving us all the info we needed (pick up and drop off at the hotel, the rate was charged to my room, so we didn't have to pay the tour company ourselves in cash on the day). The staff at the restaurant, bar, and maid service were all super friendly and kind, attending to our every need. Can't say enough about how well trained they are. In terms of aesthetics, environment, and surroundings I couldn't have asked for much more. The hotel is located in a great area with tons of restaurants, shopping malls and activities within walking distance. Reduit Beach, a beautiful long ***** of white sand and crystal turquoise waters, is a 10-minute walk away (be prepared to pay about US$20 for a pair of beach chairs and umbrella). If you want to dance and party, there's a dance club literally across the street playing great music all night (the hotel also has live music on Fridays for their Barbecue Night). Pigeon Island (where the annual Jazz Festival is hosted) and the Marina (where you can walk t
