ゲゲストFairfield is a fair hotel with a large room with the usual fridge, microwave , coffee in the room. The furnishings were of modern style with a long desk combo dominating one side wall of the room. This left no room or surface to open suitcases on. Bathroom was cramped, poorly lit and had a single handle faucet that streamed water until pressed down firmly. Breakfast was included and was very good.
Checkin took about 10 minutes, mostly due to other guests, who had things stored on their phone (AAA cards) and couldn’t find them. Room 312 was large, but with a small bathroom. At first, the microwave, TV and some lights didn’t work, but a nice maintenance man came and fixed them all (previous guest had unplugged them). Lots of people at this hotel on the weekend, but it thinned out during the week. Thick towels, excellent TV (supports video on USB), elevator worked great, and breakfast had lots of options. Kids seemed to like the indoor pool and workout room. Cracker Barrel next door which was one of the better ones. I slept great and enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again, easy access to interstate. I paid about $80 per night on average, so reasonable by Dayton standards.
Ok well 1st I never write reviews unless really really bad or really really good. The ladies at the front desk were super nice during the phone call to make reservation and upon check in, the trouble started upon entering the room. While the lobby looked nice enough and hallways were nice and wide the room itself was very spacious. We open the door and the room smelled like an old lady spilt her perfume bottle...it was very powerful but thought I could make due by opening a window. After checking the bed ( 1st thing I ALWAYS do..I was happy due to mattress cover and sheets and pillows seemed good. Looking around I noticed red sticky stuff on couch cushions and a dirty sock peeking out from under the couch!! My husband had already used sink in bathroom but am pretty sure he didn't splatter it up with one use as bad as it was. Floor in bath room and around sink kitchen area was spoted/dirty. The dust on the headboard of bed was at least 1/4 inch think. My husband went down to change rooms, they said no more king rooms available, and they couldn't offer a discount. After a bit more talking they did discount the room and said cleaning lady walked out today!! I would have thought they may would have wanted to ck rooms prior to renting...Im hopeful since bed was made nicely that it had not been used!! It was late we had been traveling for 10 days so decided to stay. There are so many options out there DO NOT CHOSE THIS ONE!
RrachaelpollzzieChose a non-smoking room and the room we were given had the strongest cigarette smell ever. It was very hard to sleep, in fact I was unable to sleep at all. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The floors were dirty, the counters had sticky residue on them, the room was very poorly cleaned. The bathroom also reeked of cigarettes. Do not recommend to anyone to stay here. Will be picking elsewhere when I come back to Springfield the next several times this year.
