My wife and I checked-in late afternoon on 7/24. The lady in the motel office was very friendly and showed us our room, explained how things worked and made sure we were happy with it. Even though this is a throwback to the ”old motel, outside entrance, with an actual key on a plastic tab w/ the room number on it” type of place, it was very clean and had a comfortable bed. When my wife went to the office to ask the lady how to make a long-distance call with the room phone (Mint mobile cell service was non-existent here) to our daughter, she let my wife use her phone, which was very kind. The only place to eat on a Monday night was the Longhorn Saloon and it was very good and only a block away. There's no breakfast at the motel, but a restaurant right across the street (Uncle Louie's Diner) opens at 6; we headed out to Devil's Tower earlier than that so didn't eat there). Would highly recommend this motel for its cleanliness, comfort and value.
