The staff was pretty helpful, especially Chris, the bartender. He was friendly and professional and a good bartender. The only problem with the lounge was that the management closes it if Chris is not available!! Not so great to offer a lounge and not have it open! But then for 125 rooms, there was only ONE ice machine on the first floor and only ONE very old Microwave per floor. No microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms. The MW on our floor was broken so we had to go to another floor where we found one situated on a table on an unfinished concrete floor. (looks like the carpeting had been removed.) We were not offered the Welcoming Beverage (Have no clue what it was) and were charged $25/day for it and other 'amenities' that included parking, wifi, water, coffee---all items that are included in the nightly fee of other hotels in which we have stayed. The exterior was a pleasant look as was the lobby..which is why we selected this hotel. But the sofas in the lobby were quite worn around the edges. Copious stains on the carpeting in the hallways as well as seams fraying in at least in one hall. No breakfast was included because, according to the front desk help, the restaurant had been being remodeled for 5 years! Another staff person said she didn't know if it would ever be open and yet another said it would be done in a year. Really? you could remodel an entire hotel in a year. Watch your charges...our confirmation said that if we stayed 3 nights we would get a 15% discount. We stayed 3 nights and received No discount and honestly the final bill was higher than the confirmed price.(Yes, even after removing the lounge charges. )We learned to take the confirmation email with us next time!
Great place to stay. Conveniently located, amazing room, & wonderful cook to order breakfast! The staff were very accommodating & helpful! Our room was spacious & able to be kept cool & was very clean! Loved our room & private patio. I would definitely recommend Pas Palomas as a wonderful place to stay!
