What an amazing staff you have. They are all so friendly, professional, and helpful. I specifically would like to single out barista Raymond. He was chipper and cheerful every morning, along with super efficient, and he really added a wonderfully positive vibe to our stay. Thank you Raymond!
We checked into the hotel and entered our room. We found toenails and dirt in the bathtub and lots of hair on the sheets and pillows. I called downstairs and the front desk employee had us come down and get another key for a second room. Entering the second room we were hit with a pungent stench. It had a strong, mildew, musty smell. I thought I was going to vomit. We also saw more hair on the pillows and sheets. It was very obvious that the sheets were never changed. I called down to the desk again. This time the young man came up to show us a third room. The third room had a mildew smell, not as bad as the other and the sheets looked OK, so I just laid in the middle of the bed waiting for this night to be over. Upon wakening we got out of there.
The suites/rooms are modern and include a full washer and dryer. This is truly rare to have in a suite, but very beneficial when needed. The general manager, Benisa, and her team of employees, Bruk, Sonda, Chris, Andre, Natasha, Arnesi, Lauren, housekeeping, etc… are all kind and professional. Benisa helped with requests that I needed without hesitation. For me, it is about the level of customer service, so I will always recommend the Waterwalk Atlanta Perimeter to others who want a great extended stay or are just visiting!
We were supposed to stay for a week, but checked out after the first night. Upon arrival at 5p (check in starts at 4p), we found a lobby full of waiting guests and were told that rooms were not ready yet. 2 hours later, we were finally checked in - at 7pm! The lobby still had at least 4 more families still waiting. The staff offered a measly ”sorry for the wait” but that was about it. No one was offered water or anything to drink, nothing to eat, etc while we waited for hours. In fact, one of the staff began complaining to her co-worker that she was going to quit the evening shift because she's tired of the guests being impatient and not understanding. Like WE were the problem. Hilton members who had used the app to check in were no exception. Still had to wait like everyone else. And nothing offered as compensation. When we finally did get to our room, it was pretty bad. The hotel is old and outdated, with stained carpet throughout the hallways, chipped furniture, dirty A/C units and gross bathrooms. Our room had a very strong, pungent smell of pinesol, lysol, and mold/mildew. It was so strong that both of us in the room got headaches after about an hour. Mine turned into a migraine. By morning, I was also stuffy and congested, mist likely from the mold they are obviously trying to mask with this disinfectant smell. Because we got into our room so late and many hotels in the area were unavailable, we stayed this first night but I had already booked another hotel for the rest of the week and we left by 7am. I went to the front desk to check out but no one was there & we had somewhere to be in the morning so I couldn't wait around. I decided I'd check out on the app and we left. The app wouldn't allow the check out since we were leaving 6 days early, so I tried calling the front desk. It went to voicemail so I left a message with my name, room number and the reasons we were checking out. I called 2 additional times that morning, both went to voicemail. After not hearing from anyone, I began dealing with Hilton customer service. It took Hilton 2 additional DAYS to reach someone and after leaving on Sunday, I finally received a receipt on Tuesday evening showing I had checked out 2 days prior. Still never heard from a live person from the hotel. This was an awful experience. We were there for 12 hours and were miserable every second of it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
We (family of 4) stayed here overnight on points, and although this is a budget chain located along the expressway, I had hoped this would be nice as a Bonvoy member. Checkin was fine and the building is relatively new. The room was quite large and attractive. Unfortunately, after sticking my PK kid in the tub to give them a quick rinse, I found out that the tub didn't drain (side note - wouldn't it be nice if someone, I don't know, housekeeping, could alert mgmt of clogged drains when they clean the tub? Makes me wonder how well it was cleaned). I called the front desk, and there was no maintenance person or Draino available. I asked about another room, but only Kings were available. I explained that four people need two beds, so was there an additional room we could use? The polite young woman working alone had good intentions but could only let us into another room across the hall to shower. And the kicker was, according to the manager Josh she'd called for permission, we could be in the king room with a working shower drain, but we couldn't have a key to it or we'd get charged. So we'd have to either stick a tissue box to keep it open between getting supplies, or call front desk every time to be let in to shower. Ridiculous! We showered before bed and, fortunately didn't see too many other guests in the hallways. We went to bed (in our room with the queen beds--didn't touch that king) and didn't bother with morning showers and repeating that trauma with the morning manager. Unfortunately, breakfast was a real miss too. We went down about 8:30, an hour before close, and it was cleaned out. We got the last milk carton (so cereal was ruled out as an option) for our 2 kids to share, and there were some sad-looking bread heels and a couple buffet items. There was a DIY waffle station at least for a sugar fix. The attendant said they were low because the food order hadn't been completed on FRIDAY. This was MONDAY morning, and no one had thought to pick up a loaf or bread or gallon of milk throughout the entire weekend. We left -- no point in complaining to the staff-seems to be a Marriott management fail combined with light staffing which is everywhere. But we've stayed in several similar budget chain hotels in the last month without these particular issues which seem easily preventable.
We chose this hotel for our Lakepoint baseball tournament. While it’s not close to the field, it’s very close to shopping, Truist Park, restaurants and everything else you may need. The rooms were clean (not spotless but clean) and spacious. The hotel had plenty of space for our team to spread out and a perfect open field for whiffle ball because, after playing baseball all day, blitz ball is a must. The breakfast was good with a good number of choices. The hotel seemed to have a mix of business travelers and sports teams but there were also some guests that didn’t seem to be staying at the hotel. Families came and used the pool who, when a child was injured, hopped in a car parked outside and left. Doesn’t seem to be very secure in that regard and something the hotel may want to look into. There were also interesting people who used the spaces but never went to rooms at different times during our stay. It was odd given the location. Overall we had a great stay and would I choose the hotel again.
SShelby SpradlinAmenities are very great but the staff do above and beyond help like clean towels washcloths and young man it's brought him to my room he made a point to go get them for me because I have been waiting for them since the night before so I thank you appreciate it so that's why I got one more see what above me to help me I'll definitely come back here and bring him in my friends and family
After an 8 hour drive from VA. to GA. I find myself at an extended stay in GA with the worst customer service and negative communication. The room keys were deactivated, which caused me several trips to the front desk. I requested a refund and cancelation for my stay. I called priceline and immediately was helped and booked at Sleep Inn in Marietta GA. To my surprise, the front desk was managed by Kisha. She was understanding and let me vent. The hotel is cleaned and exceeded my expectations. I would rate this hotel a 10 out of 10. Just wanted to thank Kisha for her professionalism and the pride she has in her job. Thanks Kisha You rock
LlavoneWe arrived to Hotel, and the front desk was not the most pleasant, we had to pay 100 dollar deposit, the hotel, was clean but needs a lot of updating, we had 2 pillows for each bed that were flat, and we had to go out and buy pillows, we were left 1 washcloth for 4 guest per night. We were not given any direction as to where ice machine was, no map as to where anything was, so we didn’t get ice for our stay period, we chose not to go for breakfast so we are not sure what that consist of, second night bedsheets had burn places in them, like someone had been smoking and dropped the cigarette. This will be our last and only stay at this Super 8, for sure. So disappointed in this Super 8?
