ホテル ラ ベッキア カルティエラ(La Vecchia Cartiera)

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Position was central. Breakfast was really good. Had read some reviews that werent too good but we found the place very good. Were fussy regarding cleanliness and it was good. Would definitely stay again.

A reasonable hotel of modern appearance. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast. Located near restaurants and cafes. It was a long walk through the town as we were coming from Calle de V’elsa . Staff advised us on a lovely river walk out of town when walking to Siena. Room facilities ok.

Like others, we were walking the Via Francigena. Hotel is below the town so a bit of a slog in for sight seeing. Room was fine, but air conditioning weak. The receptionist who greeted us was great. Friendly, efficient and very helpful. She even suggested an slightly alternate route that was great. The Restaurant was very mixed. One of the wait staff was friendly and helpful while the other was diffident at best. In a restaurant with 5 occupied table she served our coffee to someone else. The food was just OK. To give you a sense, the parmesan cheese for pasta and salad oil were served in takeaway packs and we never did receive vinegar to go with the oil, despite asking. Sorry, would not recommend.

We stayed one night on a walking tour booked by Camino ways, it was the one place in the weeks tour I would have checked out of were it not for our pre organised luggage transfer. We were given a tiny room that had a joint entry door to another room from the corridor. The doors rattled and it was with a cramped bathroom, chipped bath, noisy plumbing, paper thin walls. The room stank of stale smoke and we couldn’t find anywhere to sit outside our room to relax, no garden or outside space. The smokers hung round outside the front door. The hotel restaurant downstairs inside was awful, we were supposed to be on half board, the fixed menu was all in Italian and the waitress gave us wrong information, we chose chips and meat, no chips available then told we were only allowed to choose one course! Complete farce. The only decent thing about this hotel was the very friendly, helpful receptionist, she was lovely and gave us directions to rejoin the walk in the morning, we couldn’t wait to leave after a noisy, sleepless night. If you visit this town I would recommend staying uphill not down town.

This hotel had been booked for us by CaminoWays. Most of the hotels booked by them are very basic. This one, although basic in terms of room, had very friendly staff (as most Tuscans are) and we were pleased to be offered the alternate path along the river the next day instead of using the road to continue with our Francigena walk. We loved the central position and the way we were treated by the staff of the hotel. The staff at the restaurant, however, was quite terrible so I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Ottima esperienza e punto di partenza per visitare Siena San Gimignano Arezzo e altri bellissimi posti.Il top è nella gentilezza del personale, ma anche nella pulizia delle stanze, nel garage sotto la struttura e nella colazione variegata.

Hotel bello costruito in una vecchia cartiera. Le finestre si affacciano su colle val d'Elsa vecchia situata sul colle. Camere carine, pulite. Personale cordiale e veloce. Ottima la colazione ricca e buoni prodotti. Prezzo buono pagato 80€ in due con colazione

Hotel in centro a Colle Val d’Elsa con comodo parcheggio sotterraneo. Camera pulita ma datata avrebbe bisogno di un refresh come pure il bagno. Ottima la vista sulla parte vecchia della città. Colazione nella media niente di eccezionale con brioche surgelate e poca scelta per la parte salata. Considerata la zona il prezzo è buono

Hotel scelto dal gruppo di amici ciclisti lungo la Francigena . Grande struttura con camere dignitose . Siamo capitati durante una festa nel borgo. Tanto rumore fino alle 02 , comunque abbiamo fatto baldoria anche noi e poi la stanchezza era tanta. Da segnalare il ristorante annesso con tavoli anche all'aperto più che discreto con prezzi molto buoni e tanta abbondanza. da ritornare. Molte cose da vedere intorno artistiche e naturalistiche come un bellissimo trakking lungo il fiume poco distantr.
