Everything looked, new, fresh and modern both in the lobby as well as in my guest room. I especially enjoyed the staff service & was recognized & thanked for being a diamond member of the hotel rewards program. Fresh coffee, several different types of hit tea & lemon ice water were available first st and 2nd shift. Breakfast was superb & featured a side variety of both freshly cooked hot items, dairy selections, juice, fresh fruit and more. I never had a problem getting more towles when I needed them,. The housekeeping staff was very courteous and respectful & the front desk made the daily payment process a breeze. I have no one negative thing to say about my stay here. I will definitely be back
Aaliyah at the front desk was great. It was nice to come in at 9pm after a long day of work and then a few hours of travel and be greeted with a smile. Check in was fast and she was quick to let me know that the hotel was almost booked out due to some local events and asked if I was able to find parking. The elevator was broken but luckily the suite I booked was on the first floor (#107). Did we hear a lot of overhead foot traffic? We did BUT the fan on the AC drowned out a lot of noise and it didn't bother us. Pros: the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the water was hot, we were able to get additional linens for the pull out sofa bed easily, the AC was cold and as long as we kept the fan on, we couldn't hear the traffic much at all and got a pretty decent night's sleep. Cons: the blanket provided with the extra linens for the sofa bed was something like an old fleece style blanket that had been washed 100 times and had lots of itchy piling- we ended up not using it and just giving the kid the blanket from the bed, the bathroom door wouldn't shut because it was water logged over the years and the wood was chipping away, all of the light switches for the bathroom were outside the bathroom, the toilet tank was loose so when you'd flush it felt like it was going to tip over, the carpet is outdated enough that it felt dirty walking around barefoot in the room. If this location underwent some cosmetic updates and flooring replacement it would make a world of difference.

As a solo female traveler I book at hotels where there is a restaurant or bistro offering a light dinner and a glass of wine. I prefer to not to have to go out at night in an unfamiliar city. I booked at the Courtyard Columbus Phenix City/Riverfront SPECIFICALLY because their website stated there was bistro that would be open ( I checked the hours) so I could have a light dinner, glass of wine and then go to my room. Upon checking in, I confirmed that the bistro would be open and was told that it was closed for renovations. I look over and there are clearly no renovations going on. So I had them check a Marriott that was closer to the airport that said they had a bistro (asked them to call) and tjhat bistro wasn't open either. So to not have to search for another hotel at the last minute I said I would stay, but, asked about an upgrade for the inconvenience of having to go out and find somewhere for dinner I was told I could ”upgrade” but would ahed to give up the free breakfast. Which really isn't an upgrade. So, not caring so much about breakfast, I took the room. The next morning as I was leaving, I dropped my key in the box and walked past two women working at the front desk and neither one said thank you or have a nice day. I was a guest walking out with my luggage and neither front desk person acknowledged me. As I walked out the door I yelled back thank you and only then did the women at the front desk acknowledge me. If your website says you have it, you need to have it. You must always acknowledge your guests as they come and go. Basics of hospitality.
The room was very nice and clean. The facility has a beautiful location. I did have to wait almost an hour after checking for my room to be ready. The staff did not seemed too concerned that I had to wait. To be honest I was quite tired from driving a far distance. The morning staff was a bit more friendly. I did like the location.
My stay was very disappointing. I specifically selected this hotel over other hotels in Columbus because they list they have a heated outdoor pool. This feature was so important to me and my family members that I was willing to pay the almost $300 night and the valet parking of $12 a day. Well, the pool was not heated. Same cold water as any other outdoor pool. Multiple requests up to the maintenance manager to heat the pool was denied. Another disappointment was the rooms do NOT have smart tvs. Just basic cable with no availability to stream Netflix, Prime videos, etc. So to get around this, we had to screen cast from our phone to the tv. What hotel does not have smart apps for screening?? On the positive side, the day supervisor was helpful, the desk staff was nice but needs training in problem solving customer issues and offering solutions other than just saying no or I don't know, the hotel building is relatively new and the valet guys were awesome. Needless to say, I cut my stay short and will not stay here in the future. This is not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.
I stayed there with my family , getting 2 rooms , 1 for my 18 year old nephew & his younger brother , & 1 for my sister & I. The staff was very accommodating, making sure we were on the same floor, making sure we had everything we needed & they even have an indoor pool . For the price point , it was much nicer than expected ! I will be returning to the area for more family matters & staying again .
ゲゲストI came to GA with 8 people for Ft. Moore graduation. DON'T book here. Mold on walls and ceiling and in bathtubs. Was transferred to 4 ROOMS and had to settle in one that had a dead roach in the room. Waiting for refund. left a day early. Couldn't handle smell. Kids and I got sick and had to cut our trip early. What was suppose to be a happy trip, quickly turned MISERABLE for all of.. didn't even wanna bring our soldier there, way to embarrassed. Only positive thing was the front desk woman named Royal. She was very helpful and super sweet. She shouldn't be working in such a sh**hole.
ゲゲストMy fiance and I made a surprise visit to Columbus GA to see my little sister who is stationed at Fort Moore (Fort Benning). We loved the hotel! The staff was very helpful and they helped with anything we needed. Another perk aside from the staff, the hotel is located near just about anything you'd need, including a little shopping center and a movie theater. I had the best time and will be returning as soon as I can.
ゲゲストWhere do I start my book - Deplorable sounds good. Our room was way around back of the property, and we were greeted by a homeless lady with her cart of stuff and 2 dogs in front of our room. Upon opening the door the smell of smoke hit us. Once we found a light that worked we saw the cigarette stained walls - so much for a non-smoking room! When we stepped inside I turned on the AC for some air flow, but that didn't help with the smell. Our shoes stuck to the floor with every step, and there were dead bugs on the floor. There was a table with no chairs, the TV didn't work, toilet moved as it did the wobble, 1 towel near the sink - No soap to wash hands. The small cabinet refrigerator had leaked water on the floor, making the fake wood floor buckle from the moisture. Beds felt like camping cots and we slept on top of the covers. After 5 1/2 hours of so called sleep we high tailed it out of this place, never to return and I don't suggest anyone stay here. Oh, pool was empty as well, and the good photos lie.
