This is a very special place with everything you could possibly need and more and included a very comfortable bed. We loved the breakfast which was great to eat overlooking the bush out towards the ocean views. We also loved the bath set out surrounded by bush. The hosts are amazing. We can highly recommend a stay in the Studio, which was by the way very easy to find.

Highly recommended. We planned our girls trip over the weekend at Buffalo Lodge. We loved the place and the way it was decorated. We enjoyed the amazing winds and rain. We couldn’t make the most out the home office setup so we will definitely be back for week to do that. Special thanks to the owners for providing quality products and letting us know all about it advance. Loved it❤️

Buffalo Lodge is beautiful accommodation with spectacular views. There is a cosy library to enjoy a drink, a comfortable lounge area and a large deck with wonderful views. We were very happy with our room and the delicious breakfasts. Abby and Eli are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble as they are keen to please guests and make them feel at home. Thank you Abby and Eli for making our visit such a memorable one.

Buffalo Lodge has a beautiful location peacefully nestled in the tree-tops above Coromandel Town. The rooms are bright, airy and sparklng clean, and each has a great view overlooking McGregor Bay and beyand (sunset from the deck is outstanding!). The dining and sitting areas are the perfect places to relax with a meal, wine or a book and unwind after a day of touring. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and the breakfasts are a tasty way to start the day. We were encouraged to stroll the lush grounds and were lucky enough to see some glow worms at night! Best of all is the way that hosts, Abby and Eli, made us feel just like we belong. Buffalo Lodge is enchanting.

Our stay at the Buffalo Lodge was amazing. The space is beautiful and the views are stunning. The owners are incredibly kind and went over and above to help make our stay a great one. I'd highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Buffalo Lodge was our most memorable stay in New Zealand during our honeymoon. It's a quiet, beautiful place that offers a great view over the forest and the coast of Coromandel. The Lodge itself is very comfortable and full of light, with a nice open space, a well stocked kitchen and even a little library on the top floor. The host was very kind and even prepared a homemade breakfast for us. They provided a booklet full of information about Coromandel with lots of useful suggestions about activities and places to visit. Our room was clean, tidy and had a nice little balcony to enjoy the view. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back one day!

My wife and stayed at Buffalo Lodge for two nights. The lodge is simply immaculate with an unforgettable view of Coromandel and evening sunset. E. and A. were fantastic hosts. Always friendly and informative. The breakfast was simple but adequate and healthy. Navigating the driveway is not ideal for inexperienced drivers. It is narrow and very steep. We considered it as part of the Coromandel adventure. We would definitely stay with E. and A. again at Buffalo Lodge if we are in the area again.

Wow, what a beautiful sunset we got to enjoy! Really comfortable room, nice bed. Spectacular views out of our windows. It had such a beautiful dark sky, we didn’t even close the blinds. In the middle of the night, the stars were countless. It was a very quiet, peaceful and private space. Lovely breakfast. Warm and accommodating staff.
