Hovima la Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel

ROOM 317 pool and sea view room. Spacious apartment with separate bedroom 2 single beds built in wardrobes. kitchenette, living area with TV and furniture. We had a sofa bed as the third bed. You have a set of patio sliding doors which lead out onto the balcony which has small table and chairs, perfectly ample for the 3 of us staying there. Bathroom has a walk in shower if you get the angle of the shower head wrong you'll end up with a wet floor. Plenty of storage space the best I've ever seen at a hotel actually. The balcony got the sun all day. Lovely view of the bay and pool area. MEAL TIMES. Unfortunately it felt like a scrum everytime we went for either breakfast or tea we tried different times to avoid the crowds but it was pretty much the same whatever time you went. Usuals for breakfast, though in very small quantities as it had to be replaced more frequently which made ques even longer resulting in cold food by the time you had navigated your way round the buffet and back to your seat. Coffee machines were easily located and the cafe con leche was very pleasant to drink. Personally I tried to stick to a continental breakfast for easiness. As we were half board we were able to swap our evening meal to a lunch time and this was by far a good move, hotter food and less busy than tea time. Avoid the themed taco night it wasn't good at all and resulted in a lot of waste food. The corn tortilla flat breads were rock hard and unpleasant to eat. There is a dessert station with usual Spanish cakes and ice cream. POOL AREA great set up for babies and young children with a splash zone, we were always able to get sun beds and umbrellas, however if you had a lie in or tried to get a sunbed in the afternoon you'd have very slim pickings. Bar area served drinks etc , we only had ice cream from here as we had our own non alcoholic drinks. Main pool big and deep enough for aqua fit and water polo and swimming. Children's slide goes into another pool which is of ample size. LOCAL AREA from the pool area there is a set of steps down that access the underground to a passageway that leads on to the beach here you will find a small shop selling fruit and veg, and various items, ( bought a lot from here) carry on round and you'll come to Fund Grube which is a bit like duty free selling perfumes etc. prices were reasonable but always check before you buy because I noticed a huge difference on price! . Great Thai food place, not to be missed! The Thai was salad delicious. It's just next door to the Spar store. We also used the s&s supermarket shop out of the front of the hotel, prices were very good for a huge water. ENTERTAINMENT I can't comment as we didn't see any shows however I noticed they have an enormous screen playing cartoons most of the day for young children.

We saw this hotel last year while on honeymoon and decided then that we need to bring our 3 children and it did not disappoint. First of all the check in staff were so helpful after getting there late at night and there was food for us. All staff were great and very friendly, the children’s entertainers were excellent and the entertainment was brilliant in the day they had so much fun (I can’t comment on night time as we went out). The pools were perfect for our kids ages 10 7 and 3 they were never out of them especially 3 year old in the baby pool. You could reserve sunbeds from 9am but there never seemed to be a mad rush for them and there was always spare. The pool bar was easy to get served at and drinks and food were nice from there. Also there was water machine which I thought was a great touch just full up when u need it. Everything was SO clean! Our room was cleaned everyday fresh towels etc couldn’t have been better. Our room was huge 2 bedrooms one sofa bed in the living room plenty of room for the 5 of us with the biggest balcony, it was at the side of the hotel near some bars/restaurants so could be loud at nighttime but for us it wasn’t a problem. Still had a sea/beach view from there too. You can easily get down to the shops and beach from the pool area which is great. The beach and area is perfect plenty to do for everyone. We had breakfast and evening meal and it was the best hotel food we’ve ever had really nice even our fussy kids ate without a problem. They especially loved the huge Nutella jars so be prepared for your kids to be covered in chocolate every day 😂. They change the theme every night but always have the staples as in pizza pasta fries salad etc. I can’t think of any negatives at all. We had an excellent holiday would recommend 100% and we will be back 🙂.

Stayed here with my husband, daughters, their partner and young kids and it was perfect for a family holiday. Rooms were spacious, clean and had a kitchen with cooking facilities, fridge, kettle and dining table. Everything you need really. My only downside was the single beds pushed together, which I hate but my daughter asked for a mattress topper to make into a double and got one that day, only wish I’d done the same. Kids pool was fab for littles ones, lots to see and do. Food in the buffet restaurant was great, lots to choose from for everyone. The a la carte was also good for a change and a lovely setting. I would recommend for families and would definitely go back with mine.

After our flight was cancelled by easyjet we ended up staying here. Didn’t see much of the hotel but Christian and Yoel at the bar were great. Made the night go by quicker, and great to chat to, would come back here just because of them. Top top people.

From walking into this hotel u just knew its was going to be a brilliant holiday. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful honestly could not do enough for you. From the housekeepers to the entertainment team everyone one the absolutely outstanding. We definitely had one of are best holidays here and have already booked again for next year. The hotel itself is super clean tidy and modern could not really fault it in anyway .the only problem we had and it was a small problem was the location of the room . The room itself was a 10 out of 10 but the location of the room was more a 4 out of 10 it was directly facing a bar that played loud music up until 12 and sometimes after which is not good for a family room with 2 children but other than that an outstanding holiday. We have just returned from our first family holiday and had the most wonderful time at La Pinta. Prior to arriving I emailed to request two travel cots and enquire about allergens as our son is dairy free. We received a very prompt reply assuring us that there would be two cots and also highchairs/baby baths etc available on request. The information about the dairy free was great....we were to be given a card to show the chefs and they would let us know what was suitable or offer alternatives. Really excellent first impression. We arrived at 1am and once checked in we were advised that there was a small dinner buffet if required. The fridge in the room had water and other refreshments free of charge. Our room, and the whole hotel, was absolutely spotless. It remained so throughout the week....the staff work around the clock to make sure it's always clean. The room was an excellent size....we have three children, two of whom required cots and we still had lots of space (superior one bed apparentment) the view from our generously sized balcony was lovely. The staff are absolutely what makes this hotel though. Every single person went out of their way to help and make us and the children feel welcome. I absolutely cannot fault them in any way, a real credit to the hotel but special mention for us has to go to Diego and Manuel. The food was probably the best I've had at a buffet.....so many options and beautifully presented. The different themes kept the variety and my children absolutely loved the dessert options. The wine and beer were both very nice too (can't comment on cocktails or spirits but they looked great) The pools and poolside area were great and we never struggled to get a sunbed...though you could reserve from 9am onwards. Towels were available to hire for a fully refundable deposit. All the pools were warm enough for our 9 month old and two year old to enjoy! There were lots of activities for all ages on offer both inside and out. The entertainment team were really friendly and the mini disco was a highlight for our 4yo every night. We also enjoyed the entertainment provided. All in all we had a fantastic, relaxing time as a family. Can't comment on the local area as we stayed at the hotel. Absolute trip highlights were the staff though. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Christian was a lovely barmen and so friendly and helpful and made the best cocktails. It made our stay even more pleasant . La pinta is our favorite place to stay in tenerife we always get a warm welcome from all the staff here. Its clean and so close to the beach

Spent a week at this hotel with family, Granddaughter is nearly three. She loved it and had a great time, as a result so did we. Staff were great, room was great, food was surprisingly good. Lots of entertainment for kids of all ages. Drinks are not expensive. Hotel is in a good location. We had superior rooms overlooking the sea, well worth the extra cost. We would definately stay here again.

We visited for the third time this Easter. The staff are fantastic and really make effort. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It’s in a brilliant location, right on the beach front. We enjoyed having a walk about in the daytime and evening as lots going on nearby. The food seemed much improved this time. Lots of choice, tasty and plenty to suit the kids. Downside is no show cooking. It’s missing omelette at breakfast and freshly cooked meat/ fish in the main restaurant. The entertainment is fantastic for younger kids. The mini disco is great and the daytime activities. We found that the evening shows weren’t our cup of tea so left after dinner and had a walk about locally instead as suited us more. Rooms are really spacious. Had plenty of storage too. Great to have the kitchen and full size fridge. We had a sea view and this was great!
