Hotel has gone down hill since our last visit in January 24 . The best part was the staff and gardens. Food Luke warm and not enough ready when need not being tested to see if cooked properly the poolside restaurant which we enjoyed using for our evening meal was closed in the evenings and the main restaurant was like a school canteen nobody would queue just pushed past you to get what they wanted plenty of chips and burgers not enough healthy choices . The wine on this visit was not as nice as in January. The room towels need replacing they are extremely rough and like sandpaper no complementary toiletries in room like previously . We are sorry to say we will not be returning this was our 3rd visit ! The icing on the cake was the flight home we were picked up from our hotel at 10.00am and got home at 1.45am Sunday morning and should have landed at Gatwick at 8.50pm Saturday evening we were sat on the runway in Boa Vista for over 2 hours engine running on full blast waiting to take of but there was a head wind and weren’t able to do so it was lunchtime and about 31 degrees no air conditioning we were baking when we eventually took we were going to land in faro to refuel but due to the engine running we had to land in Las Palmas again we were there for nearly 2 hours most flights home are refuelling as the planes do not have the capacity to carry enough fuel to fly to Cape Verde and back you are not told none of this when booking or before you fly home. The service on the plane was awful l eventually got a coffee after about 6 hours on the plane it also ran out of bottled water so you couldn’t buy any as we were on plane for several hours l feel we should of been offered food and drink included in our flight or they should of re-stocked when we refuelled . We flew with emirates in may what a difference in service ,
