The reviews here say 4.5, but when you actually look at them, very few are more than 2 stars. Perhaps those that did give it more had a different room ( 411) I did not check prior to booking, counting on the Residence Inn brand to be good. This hotel desperately needs refurbishing. It looks as if the lobby and registration area have been updated, and the kitchen in our room was nice. That was about it. The sofa in the living room area was practically unusable. There was no padding left in the cushions, one sat on the springs. THe TV in the living room is tiny and old. The remote in the bedroom had melted and did not work, and the light did not turn on in there either. We were told they did not have ice machines. Etc. The front desk people were pleasant, I will say that. Could not wait to leave in the morning. Skipped breakfast and went to a diner, so cannot comment on that. Good luck if you book here before they refurbish.
We stayed here for our son’s sporting event so we did not choose the hotel as it was chosen for us. That being said, the staff we encountered were friendly. The lobby was nice, however that was the only area that was. The whole hotel needs updating and cleaning. We stayed in a jr. suite. The furnishings were worn and the carpet was dirty. Our bathroom had black hairs on the floor and BOOGERS on the inside shower curtain and on the sink counter! Absolutely disgusting! Almost every wall in our room had scuff marks going across them and the mini fridge had seen better days . The couch cushions had many stains. I found spots on our bed sheets and no mattress cover. The air vents were dirty and moldy. After returning from dinner the first night we took extremely slow and hot elevator up to our floor. When we got off there was very strong **** smell which was unpleasant. This happened both nights we were there. We used the fitness center which was also quite dirty. There is no cell service in the basement so we couldn’t use our phones for music. The equipment is very outdated (treadmills,l elliptical, bike) and the tv screens attached did not work. We found trash on the ground by equipment and trash bins were over flowing. The 2 hand sanitizer pumps were empty and there was no way to clean the machines or equipment after using. The pool is outside and very small but lists of seating. There is WiFi but it’s unsecured and anyone can access. Choose a different hotel. There are others in the area.
Wonderful stay....people were nice and courteous....Kristin the GM was there every day from morning to night...helping her staff and customers...room was clean and made up everyday...bed was comfortable and great....breakfast was perfect....loved staying there will do so again....
We spent one night here on a multi city trip. After too many hotels I accidentally left behind some clothing in the closet. When discovering this later I called and was assisted by ”Shauna” at the front desk who went out of her way to locate housekeeping resources and arrange to ship the items back (at my expense) including calling back with the tracking number and amount. Now that's service! The hotel has been recently updated. The rooms aren't luxurious but they are comfortable and serviceable. I liked the use of Dove products in large containers. We didn't try the free breakfast food but it was nice having both a microwave and fridge available during our overnight stay. The room also seemed very quiet despite being on a relatively busy road. There is an excellent supermarket right across the street if you want to buy groceries. The only thing I would suggest is getting better quality coffee at the breakfast bar and not using powdered creamer for the in-room coffee service. It seemed like others also appreciated the value of staying here as there was barely a spot left in the large parking lot on a Monday night! We will definitely use this hotel again when in the area. And thanks to Shauna for her help.
