We stayed here on our way back to the Hook of Holland from a road trip around Germany and Denmark. On that trip we stayed in a lot of really good hotels, but the Finch Boutique Hotel in Deventer was very much the top of the list. We could not fault it in any way. We rated the room, the ambience, the breakfast, and above all the staff, 12 out of 10 (if we can say that). An absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you. For UK travellers using the Harwich-Hook of Holland ferry, this hotel is about a 1hr 40min drive. we shall be using it again.

After a revolting experience with 'de tuinhuis Gorssel', who should be removed from all booking sites, we needed an emergency stay. As IHG member, I saw Deventer has a new Holiday inn which I could book online. After arriving only after 20 minutes, the check in was smooth, the rooms already organized and we got an upgrade. The rooms are very well equipped and quiet. The beds very comfortable although the duvet was a bit too warm. We had a great sleep. The breakfast is indeed simple but sufficient. The location is a bit away from the centre so keep this in mind. The only two points for improvement are to have a glass door or additional shower curtain in the bathroom as otherwise the floor is soaked and slippery. For breakfast, a container on the table to put in your waste, would be brilliant not only for guests but also for the invisible breakfast staff.

Prima hotel. Goede ontvangst. Nette kamers. Fijne bedden met uitstekend matras en een goed kussen. Ontbijt uitgebreid en verzorgd. Kitrandjes in de badkamer blijft toch altijd een dingetje. Wat afdrukken van vingers op de spiegel en wastafel. Alleen voor de kritische kijker te zien. Toiletpapier enkel laags. Vriendelijk personeel. Nette prijzen. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid direct voor het hotel. Geen zorgen, u treft hier geen kersje meer op de appelmoes. Eten dik in orde.
