Room was clean. Staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast was great, something there for everyone. Vicki, the hostess, was very friendly and accommodating. Pet friendly. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay!
I’ve stayed here in the past but it’s been a while. It’s really gone down hill. I spent the evening of March 7, 2023 here. The place was filthy and it seems that they now cater to monthly renters. The first room they put me in (140) had roaches. They then moved me to room 102, more roaches. They then moved me to a third room. If it hadn’t been so late in the evening, I would have left. I wound up sleeping with the lights on. Run,don’t walk from this property. It’s disgusting.
The hotel has spacious rooms and a little free parking. These are two only good things. The rooms are smelly. The airco is not properly balanced! The breakfast is terrible, the worst we have had in the States, so far. Very limited choice. No warm food. When we came to breakfast very early at around 7 am there was only one yoghurt, 2 beagles, no spoons and there is no space to eat. You have to take everything to your room. The hotel is built in a very cheap way. You hear everything. All sounds from outside- and it is situated at a busy street and you hear all other guests, especially those above you, every move. I could barely close my eyes. And furthermore internet is not working! It is 2024 how is it possible? We would never get here back. Avoid this place.
We stayed there on Friday January 5. We used digital key. We had stayed here before. It's an ok hotel. We got our room on the 3rd and highest floor. The ice machine was broken on the 3rd floor but my husband was able to get ice on the second floor. We returned on January 15th. We again used digital key to check in (no need to go to the front desk). Our television was blue and we could figure no way to adjust the color. The ice machine on 3rd floor was STILL broken. As we were sitting there, our door opened. My husband saw the man who tried to get in, the guy was given our room as his. My husband went to the front desk and asked about the mishap. The front desk lady (an older woman) apologized and said she was trying to fix everything. The poor guy also had to go back to the front desk to obtain an unoccupied room. At one point, we had 3 rooms assigned to us in the app. When we left on the morning of January 16, we checked out at the front desk. We explained to the younger front desk person what had happened. She agreed that she had NO idea how someone else got a key to our room. I asked about the ice machine and said that we had been there 10 days earlier and she said, ”I think they are waiting on a part”. When I explained that our TV had a blue picture, she said, ”I think that someone is working on that”. We are Hilton Honors members, and thought that Hilton had a guarantee. We got nothing for our troubles. Not really even an apology, just excuses. Though we will probably continue to stay at Hilton properties, not sure we will stay at Hilton Garden Inns in Dothan again.
KKathy HQuietest room I ever stayed in. Great, friendly staff. Breakfast is much more than you would expect. Restaurant quality. Highly recommend for pet owners. Great pet area. Clean bathroom and everything worked. David’s Catfish restaurant is in the parking lot.
KKim NI enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and comfy. The staff was friendly. My favorite was “T” (I believe that was her name) she worked the breakfast services. She was kind and personable very delightful. I also enjoyed the hotels proximity to shopping and restaurants. I will use this location next time I am in Dothan.
