Short stay in Edinburgh, we didn't spend much time in the room but it was evident on arrival that the hotel (pub) and our room was in dire need of a refurb. Nobody greeted us its more of a pub with a few rooms upstairs, felt very neglected as a customer. The rooms decor was very outdated and needed a clean, on the second night I found lots of mould near the window (see photos I took) and a huge cobweb. Absolutely disgusting, the room wasn't clean when we arrived the bin had things inside and there was a used tissue in the shower. The pub needs a total refurb, money spent, new windows and a deep clean. Will never stay here again.

The staff were fantastic the food fantastic,the traffic noise unbearable and two flight of stairs unmanageable. Room was not attended to for three days

Great place to stay, very close to Murrayfield stadium . Easily accessible from town centre and airport by bus and tram. Super friendly staff who care about their customers having a good stay. Food menu is very nice and service top notch. will definitely go back.

Our stay at the Hampton was very nice. Staff were extremely helpful. Especially the manager/supervisor on shift. Cant remenber his name. Breakfast was very good. A few things i would say that could be improved is the age of the room. By that i mean the floor was very uneven so it meant the drawers sat at an angle so the couldnt shut. Some of the drawers also needed to je fixed. The floor was very creaky. I also found there not to be enough power plungs for charging my various gadgets and have the lamps on. But overall i really enjoyed my stay. Well situated to bus and tram routes. And again cant say enough about your very friendly staff, they were amazing!!

Had the best time ever here. Josie and Kian greeted me right when I walked in. They were so warm and welcoming. I am a tourist so they gave me lots of recommendations for what to do in town. Also the food was incredible! I plan to come back while I’m still in town !

Went here recently for Chris**as lunch with some friends. I chose the Turkey for my main course. It was served with what looked , and tasted like, a "squashed" Yorkshire pudding - very chewy. The sprouts were too hard to cut. The potatoes were small and served with, what I think were chestnuts - also hard. Turkey should be served with proper Roast Potatoes. The slices of turkey were OK. The service was very slow. Had to ask when the dessert would be served.

Lovely clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds. Breakfast is tasty and they'll cater to individual taste (I.e.if you want your eggs poached or boiled etc). Ate in the restaurant also and the food was lovely and great value. The philly steak sandwich was AMAZING. Would definitely stay here again and its highly recommended. Staff are fab and so helpful.

Very good location for visiting Edinburgh with buses every few minutes at the stop next to the hotel ( including the number 100 to and from airport). Nice pub and restaurant, tried and tested. We stayed 2 nights : comfy room and bed, shower a bit leaky and kitchen vents just below the window (********** room) but quiet at night. Good breakfast.

Me and my husband had a lovely 3 night stay at the Hampton Hotel. We arrived early after a long drive and the owner kindly let us come in and sit at the bar before it had opened. After a nice lunch another member of staff said that we could check in a little earlier which was lovely so we could freshen up before a day of sightseeing. We stayed in room number 2 which was HUGE. The bed was huge and so comfy. It was old fashioned but in a quirky way with so much character and really clean. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and gave lots of tips on places to visit. Also, the bus stop is a 2 min walk down the road with regular buses straight into the city centre so it is ideally located. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thank you.
