Bluesea Arenal Tower Adults Only

Would never consider going back to this place. We was booked to stay for a week however when we first entered our room there was a very strong smell of urine. When we told the bloke at reception he simply put his hands up and said “what do you want me to do at this hour” being 2am we asked to move rooms. After some battling he finally said he might have a room and took us to it. The new room didn’t smell but was very old and dated there is no possible way this hotel is “newly renovated”. Food is a disaster we looked and that was enough to put us off. We lasted a total of 8hours there and then checked out and booked ourself into a different hotel.

For the price....not bad! We paid just over £50 a night, all inclusive, so worth every penny, can't stay many places in UK for that price. Yes it's a little rough round the edges, furniture needs updating in rooms, x2 chairs out on balcony not been cleaned in a while, beds not the best, bathroom is small so don't bring a cat! Shower was hot and powerful. It's a 3 star in the making, food is ok, could be hotter and a wider veriety, dining area quite small. Staff seemed ok with us but we did treat them with respect and tried to speak in their language. Don't expect 4 star at 2-3 star prices. And yes the new alcohol rule in some parts of Spain is a little annoying, 3 drinks at lunch, 3 drinks at dinner, but at £50 a night just buy some beer if you need to!

We have just got back from a 4 day stay at this hotel. The room was mouldy,we had wee on the balcony from the room above that wasn’t wiped up the whole time we were there. We paid for all inclusive and couldn’t eat as they have a tiny dining room,you could cue for over an hour and by the time you get to the food there is only slop left. Every morning I tried to get cereal and there were no bowls available. We tried to get soft drinks from the bar and was asked if we are blind and told the restaurant is open,,we are not allowed to take drinks out of the restaurant and we didn’t want to go in. On the website it states snacks are available throughout the day for all inclusive guests,this is true you can pay for a small selection from the 1 vending machine they have.. They have the worst coffee I have ever tasted. The pool area downstairs is very small in comparison to the amount of people trying to use it! we managed to get in around tea time and the rude bar man that had asked if we were blind came and put a chain on the entrance when we were sat in it then walked off again. He didn’t speak to us just trapped us alone in the pool area. The terrace upstairs is nice,although it’s an extra charge even if you have already paid all inclusive! The pool is tiny,freezing and you don’t feel at all welcome by the staff. Out of all of the staff there was 1 person who smiled at us! the rest where very rude and gave us dirty looks the whole time. The small barman’s attitude towards British people is disgusting,I’d be ashamed to employ somebody like that in my place of work. We spent way more than we expected to due to the lack of food and drinks available and the quality of the food was not fit for people to consume. We both left with a sickness bug. We could not sleep in our room as the surrounding rooms where very noisy. The room above us was moving furniture round at 3am! The whole place is a joke I wouldn’t recommend anybody stay here. It ruined our whole trip!

Positives - Check in was fast and easy. I’d like to commend the staff at the hotel as they are incredibly friendly and attentive, this was present throughout our entire stay whenever we needed anything. There is also a great roof terrace but is perhaps under-utilised since it’s only open from 4PM despite having probably the best view of the coast of El Arenal, the sunset view is to die for and the cocktails served at the bar are very nice as well, just note these incur an extra fee but are worth it as they are very reasonably priced (about €7 per cocktail) which is better than most bars in the area. Oddly however, there is no menu and the price seems to change slightly depending on what you order and who is serving you, you sort of just ask for a cocktail and they make it for you. The main pool area is also pretty nice as well, while small, it benefits from some good sunlight in the afternoon. Negatives - Initially, we asked for a double room but was told the hotel only had twin rooms (they didn’t specify if they had any at all or if none we available at that time, just that the hotel doesn’t do double rooms), once we unpacked we stayed for one night in the room given but one of the beds was very squeaky and the balcony door rattled madly at the slightest bit of wind, we asked to be put into another room and then they told us a double room was in-fact available on the 1st floor. The 2nd room was much better but the area is subject to an incredible amount of noise pollution, we we’re given a small warning about this prior to moving rooms but did not expect it to be as bad as it was. For context, there is a bar next door which clearly does not appreciate that guests are staying at the hotel and are up most nights until 2/3AM and there is also a school one street over and a park directly opposite the hotel where children frequently cause a crazy amount of noise. Considering it’s an adults only hotel, it makes no sense to label it as such when children are literally everywhere. As a side note, El Arenal is also a densely populated area for young tourists (mainly German but also British as well) and we would frequently be awoken by parties returning to the hotel after a night out, often around 4/5AM. The all inclusive food and drinks were of a low standard. We had knowledge of the drinks limitations prior to travelling but the beer was the only option worth having as the wine (both white and red) was some of the worst wine I’ve tasted, as someone who does not like the taste of beer, this made it very hard to stomach but I wanted to get my money’s worth. It’s a huge shame that spirits are not included on the all inclusive package when you only get 3 drinks maximum at lunch and dinner time, we would ask to order 3 drinks at a time however the staff would often refuse saying we can only order two at a time each and the last, once we’ve finished the other two drinks. On one occasion I approached a member of staff 10 minutes before lunch had finished to

I spent 5 nights there all inclusive the Bar times are ridicules pool bar offer free drinks soft drinks but you must pay a €1 deposit for your plastic glass the main bar is opened from 7:30pm till 11pm the bar on the roof is opened from 4pm till 7:30pm but you must pay for everything the food was ok but extremely limited in choice l have stayed in 33 countries this was the most limited chance l have ever had but l was able to make do the hotel its self was ok but there is no fridge or cooler box in the rooms and no table on the balcony but did nave 2 chairs cleaners did come each day .

Very bright clean hotel Good amenities - however some things needed to be asked for at reception all with a deposit ! Maybe useful to inform guest as we check in ? Good choice at meals Roof top bar is great but could make more if it ! Would be good to have a kettle in the rooms - or even available to ask for at reception

It’s a 3 Star hotel so don’t expect 5 star service. Victoria In reception was very helpful, canteen staff hit & miss, cleaners polite. Food, basic but you’ll find something. Rooms, just do a job, cleaned daily, I found the beds uncomfortable for me, very surprised no double bed option, it’s push 2 singles together. Balcony is dirty, outside tables not cleaned, ash from other’s cigarettes in pockets. Bathroom, shower excellent and spacious. It’s a 3 star hotel & you have to remember that, hence against other 3 stars it gets a 4 out if 5. All inclusive 3 drink rule, that’s what it is in Majorca the hotel can’t help that. Hotel is in a more residential area than tourist but a short walk and your at the beach and into the tourist area. The only disappointing thing for me was the Sky bar is advertised as open at 1800 hours and the 3 times we went up it’s was closed & locked, so a bit of false advertising & disappointing as I bet the views would be lovely. All in all, not a bad stay for a 3 star

We arrived at Bluesea mid-morning and had an easy check in. The ladies on reception were polite and helpful, allowing us to use the luggage room and advising our room would be ready at 2pm. While we waited, we sat by the pool - this was when we were made aware that you have to pay a €1 deposit per plastic cup to use by the pool. This was very inconvenient as, knowing we were coming to an all inclusive facility, we hadn’t brought any Euros and you couldn’t pay this by card either. Embarrassingly, we had to ask some other guests by the pool if we could borrow €2. Other than that, the pool was nice, good amount of beds however lacking parasols in my opinion with 2-4 available between about 40 sun beds. We were also given cards to track the drinks we were having - you were allowed 3 alcoholic drinks at lunch and 3 at dinner per person but it only includes wine and beer. The wine isn’t great but made better when mixed with lemonade. Soft drinks are unlimited all day. If you wanted any cocktails, most were €5 or €6. Ultimately, this was our error for not checking the new rules in place for all inclusive in some areas of the Balearic Islands but also made having a few drinks an extra €20 each a day minimum on top of what we’d already paid for all inclusive. Once our room was ready, we took our luggage up the lift (there are 2 lifts for 11 floors and they can take ages to come). Our room was relatively clean other than some (what looked like) blood on the wall behind the toilet and two of our towels had rips/holes in them. Our air con was not good at all, it felt slightly cooler in our room than outside but still really hot compared to the communal areas inside the hotel. The balcony was great, we had a sea view and plenty of room for drying towels etc. The only thing I would say is it was slanted, almost as if the balcony was tipping downwards and you go to the edge. All in all, the room did the job but nothing special. I’m not a picky eater but I struggled with the food here, it was probably the worst bit of the whole experience. Breakfast was like a standard all inclusive, I never trust the bacon or sausage, the hash browns were edible and there was bread available on most days although sometimes stale and usually 1 or 2 different pastries available. Lunch and dinner both had salad bars - the different bits of salad are in watery bowls and look like they just sit there day after day without being refreshed. The warm food was always pasta, rice and a whole load of fish - fish nuggets or fingers, unseasoned grilled fish, fish paella (was unbelievably dry like it had a film on the top). There was also sometimes pork however, the description was pig secret which I still have no idea what that secret is. The veg looks like it’s used for dinner and then the leftovers used for lunch the next day. For example, if you’ve got green beans for dinner, there’ll be a chef’s salad tomorrow lunch with green beans in. My favourite bit of the hotel was probably the sky

Well you get what you pay for , room was ok shower bed great. Hotel has too many rules for my liking, not enough staff for bar especially when your trying to get your 3 drinks at meal times, restaurant staff were not very friendly, reception staff great especially Marcello . He was amazing . Food was random but always something to eat. Not enough sun beds for the hotel, God knows what it's like in summer . It is the German Magaluf. Roof top bar very nice , you do have to pay for drinks not part of all-inclusive.The area around hotel is a bit grim but a 5 min walk to beach and some nice bars not too far away ,not in the busy area of Arenal . Good for a mini cheap break 4 days was enough. Don't think I would come again !
