Hotel is very central and we walked around town everywhere. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend booking a massage it was delightful. Got rid of my knots and would have gotten another massage but we didnt book in advance so we werent able to. Spa area was unexpected little gem. Jacuzzi and a sauna. The only down side to the hotel was the water pressure wasn't great. Makes a lot of strange noises as well. But this doesn't take away from the rest of the positives from the hotel.

Great hotel in superb location! Extremely spacious room, huge bed (a bit hard but it was ok for me), excellent service from the entire stuff - from reception associates through bar & restaurant stuff to housekeeping. Very good breakfast, great menu at the restaurant. It also offers spa services - gym, sauna and jacuzzi at no extra charge.

We stayed here as part of a tour through Patagonia. This was by far the most mediocre property we stayed at throughout our travels through this region. The staff was friendly but could not make up for the overall experience of tired rooms, a below average breakfast, and a poor location.

Such a bad experience I had our travel agent move us for our one-night return through Calafate. I didn’t want another night at this hotel. Old tired mattress, flickering overhead lights (they replaced a bulb when I asked but the flicker remained), housekeeping forgot my room, mediocre breakfast buffet. Chalafate is a noisy town but this hotel is especially so - street noise and barking dogs.

Well situated hotel , close to the shops and restaurants. Ideal if visiting El Calafate for a few days It’s a odd little hotel , quite old fashioned but comfortable. The room we had over looked the front and was noisy so would recommend asking for a rear room. The public rooms were comfortable and had books and games to use. Breakfast was adequate but not the best we have experienced . We did have massages and these were good and very reasonably priced. For the price represents value for money and well situated .

We recently stayed here for one night on our travels. The location is fantastic, right in the center of El Calafate, with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a car during our stay, and the hotel has their own small, secure lot, right on the property which was nice. The hotel itself looks a bit dated, wooden walls, worn bathroom, carpeted floors, etc. Not sure if other rooms had this issue, but our bathroom had a slightly sewer smell that would come and go throughout the day, there was also beard hair in the sink when we arrived, which was a slight turn-off. The included breakfast buffet was decent. Lots of choices of baked goods, fruits, etc. A fun bonus was the game room. We played some table tennis, but there was also the option of playing table football and pool, as well.

This hotel is about two blocks off the main street. The quiet setting is complimented by gardens and a European atmosphere. The public areas are graced with natural wood and stone. There is a bar, shop, and comfortable sitting areas. The rooms were also comfortable, well appointed and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay, the staff and the amenities. The breakfast was complete with many options and the check in service was fast and efficient. On the whole, this family run hotel is a great place to stay. I would recommend it without hesitation.

I had an excellent stay here! The hotel is very well maintained, clean and the staff is extremely kind and attentive. The hotel is very cozy and cutely decorated. The additional amenities like gym, jacuzzi and spa services add to the value of your experience when staying at Kosten Aike. I will be back!!
