L'hôtel est très élégant le personnel au petit soin, le petit déjeuner exceptionnel, nous avons adoré !

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, con una vista muy bonita y con muchísimos restaurantes al lado en el puerto. Cuesta un poco llegar, eso sí, y es probable que en temporada alta sea muy difícil aparcar. El desayuno de notable. La ducha de cortesía el último día por la tarde es un detallazo para aprovechar bien el día de salida. El servicio muy atento.

La habitación me ha resultado pequeña.

Just returned from a fabulous 5 night holiday at the Barcelo Hamilton, Menorca, half board with Jet2 holidays. Greeted by polite, efficient staff. All the staff we met were so customer-focused, a pleasure. Our superior sea view room was compact but well planned & had all we needed & a very cosy superking bed with 6 pillows. Coffee/tea, hairdryer, large shower, plenty of wardrobe space, dressing gown/slippers. Our balcony had stunning views of the harbour, islands & fort & sunrises with table/chairs & drying rail. We didn’t use the courtyard pools/loungers but enjoyed the sunny roof terrace & jacuzzis (which were a bit cold at 1st but fine once you were in) we used them everyday except the last which was very windy. We enjoyed the restaurant, we like to try local specialities so the freshly grilled red scorpion fish & tender pork cheek was a favourite. Buffet had fresh salads/fruit/breads etc. I enjoyed great omelettes cooked fresh by chef each morning & my husband got his fave, Sobrasada, there is lots of choice to suit everyone, chicken, pizza, beef & nice potato/veg dishes. Deserts were okay but I preferred the ice cream, so good. The location was great for our holiday as we weren’t bothered for a beach close by in October, we were looking to chill on the roof terrace, walk into Mahon (regular buses run along main road from Ed Castell to Mahon, accept cash not card) to visit the many historical museums/sites (recommend free military museum in Es Castell square & informative guided tour of Lazerette island) we spent most evenings after/before dinner in the lovely harbour/town bars of Es Castell. The only negative would be the outdated play list heard around the hotel but the bar manager did change it & played our suggested bossa nova chill out music instead when we asked. We didn’t use the large reception bar/lounge area much, it was never busy, we heard a quiz on 1 night but otherwise just the awful 1980s play list. The harbour bars were better for us, Bob Marley, jazz music, relaxed vibe & v nice drinks, wine, cocktails & triple brandies in a warmed glass. I enjoyed walking along the harbour watching shoals of fish day & night. Everywhere was so clean & everyone we met pleasant. If we don’t return to Mahon I will look at Barcelo hotels elsewhere as the standard of this one was just so good.

Don’t hesitate about booking this hotel…it’s fab! The position of the hotel is amazing. The roof terrace is brilliant plunge pools and big sun beds along with a bar open all day from 11am. The pool is also a nice size with plenty of beds lots of shade options too. Rooms very clean, we did have a couple of issues with some small things in our room but they sent the maintenance man and these were sorted very quickly. Breakfast was really impressive and such a vast choice. If you can afford to would highly recommend booking a sea view room, we had a pool view which was lovely but until you visit the hotel you will realise the sea view is worth the extra! We also went to the spa and had a welcome massage it was so good we went back and both had hour long treatments with Itziar, she is amazing and myself and my mum both said it was the best treatments we had ever had and we have had a lot! Thank you so much. Really close to loads of bars, resturants and shops. Really lovely stay and we will def be back!

Excellent choice. Food superb. Staff in restaurant including chefs and especially David amazing. Bed and shower lovely. Swimming pool and surrounding area really nice and peaceful. Great location. Hot Tubs on roof used every day. Rooms very clean but not huge. Well being facilitates very good. Would highly recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff throughout the entire hotel. Special thanks go to Monica, Marga and Nicole in Sa Cuina. Everywhere is kept impeccably clean. Fabulous setting. Views from the sea view rooms are fantastic. The location of the hotel means it is peaceful at night. As it's set on the dead end of a road there is no passing traffic. The only traffic is the passing boats and they aren't noisy and many are very nice to look at. Breakfast is amazing. We've also eaten at the poolside bar which was lovely too. Can't comment on the evening meal as we like to visit local restaurants. Very generous drinks portions. It's a must to visit the sky bar! It's our little piece of heaven on earth. We've visited in summer 2022, '23 and already booked for '24. Can't wait! My photo of the bedroom shows rose petals in the bed, that was an extra arranged by my husband with the hotel for my 50th birthday!

The hotel was more 3 half star, a bit frayed around the edges as far as the rooms go, some updating and touch ups needed. Bed very comfortable. Balcony small as was the room . Disappointed to arrive and not have the additional restaurant as advertised, only buffet restaurant for evening meals. However, breakfast was lovely. Hotel was very clean, but the replacement and cleaning of cups was not up to standard. Balinese beds 16 euros per day !!! Disparity between roof terrace bar, lounge bar prices very confusing. Overall good stay but standard was not what we expected.

Lovely three days, very kind, attentive, caring and humble staff, good food, views, location, easy bus access to Mahon. Even though late in the season very good nearby cafes, restaurants. We enjoyed walking in the area. Enjoyed using the sauna, steam room, 8 euro fee but had sole use.
