Great location. Great recycling. Fab for cyclists. Easy walking to the centre of Evreux. Room simple but good. Only complaint was the shower - hard to hook the shower head into the holder (bar in the way) and the bath surface was very slippery despite the nobbly bottom!

Very convenient hotel with large car park, easy to walk into town, restaurants and Cathedral. Good breakfast. Window in room needed replacing - a lot of condensation.

Great location close to town. Very friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Great recycling initiatives.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and their night manager. My wife and I showed up at 1:30 AM after having walked from the local hospital (almost 3 miles away) and being turned away at another hotel because “they didn’t have any rooms available”. We were welcomed like family and given a room and a nice meal (we hadn’t eaten in 12 hours). We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning as well as the concern and help of the day manager. Would definitely stay here if ever in the area again. I give them my highest recommendation.

Very very basic hotel. Expect a bed and not much more in the room. Had the misfortune to stay during warm weather, no air conditioning no fans available. Was torture trying to sleep. On the positive the breakfast was very good and pleasant staff.

Rating: ⭐⭐ Let's start with the positives. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Their friendliness and attentiveness were commendable, and they made me feel valued as a guest. Additionally, I was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job in ensuring the rooms were tidy and well-maintained, which is certainly a plus for a budget hotel. The location is pretty central, although the hotel is slightly awkward to get to (given the town’s one way systems!) but within a few metres of a pleasant square with bars and decent restaurants. One major issue was the paper-thin walls. Unfortunately, this led to an unfortunate situation where I could hear conversations from the neighboring room. It was not only an invasion of privacy but also disrupted my ability to relax and get a good night's sleep. I believe soundproofing should be a priority for any hotel, regardless of its budget status. To make matters worse, the noise issue reached its peak when an amorous couple in the adjacent room started shagging at 3am. While I understand that the Greet Hotel is a budget establishment, the thin walls and lack of sound insulation made for an unpleasant experience. I strongly urge the management to address this issue promptly and take measures to improve the soundproofing of the rooms. Guests should be able to enjoy a peaceful and undisturbed stay, regardless of the hotel's price range. In conclusion, the welcoming staff and clean rooms at the Greet Hotel in Evreux were commendable. However, the lack of soundproofing compromised the overall quality of my stay.

We stayed here in July on a very hot night, missed the aircon, but apart from that had a great stay. The rooms are basic but the hotel has a cool vibe with free table football and parking. You can walk around the corner and if you get a sunny summer's night like we did Evreux is a great place to visit with lots of outdoor restaurants and bars, spectacular open spaces and a cathedral which is a must visit. It is a smart town with a cosmopolitan vibe that puts UK town planners to shame. The staff in the hotel were lovely people and we felt very welcome. There was no noise. Also worth noting, the breakfast was continental but there were lots of local quality artisan produce, including very good ham and cheese for your baguette, local jams and cakes.

We were pleasantly surprised with the refurb which is a massive improvement. A lot less impressed with the service. Staff were nice but there weren't enough of them to manage reception, the bar and the food. It took forever to get our dinner, the vegetarian pizza we was indeed vegetarian (not vegan as I'd been told) and only the beer and water were cold. Even in Ireland we wouldn't be served warm rosé wine with ice, and the days of warm cider with ice are thankfully long gone. Could do a lot better. Three stars for that (otherwise it was quite ok).
