Our room was in terrible condition. The walls filthy, drapes dirty, holes in walls, poor patch job on the bathroom door. It looked like someone tried to kick in the front door. The air conditioner vents must never get cleaned (gross) and unit falling off wall. The furniture old and beat up. The tub looked like it had permanent dirt stains, and it was seriously corroded. They were skimpy on the towels (1 wash cloth, 1 hand towel, and two bath towels). They were thin and gray. There was a down pour of rain. I went to the front desk to see if I could get a towel to wipe up the water we had tracked into the room on the floor. The desk clerk was reluctant to give me a towel. He said, “I can only give you a dirty towel.” I was like I don’t care; I just want to wipe up the water on the hard wood floor! My wife and I reluctantly decided to stay. We both agreed this will be our LAST Super 8 that we will ever stay in. After a rough night sleep on a lumpy mattress, we went to get coffee and see what was on the menu. This was the worst breakfast that I’ve seen at ANY of your motels. There was toast (white and wheat), granola bars, and cereal period. There was a tub of country crock butter, two almost empty jars of grape and strawberry jelly. Every motel that I have ever stayed in has individually packaged butter, and jelly for health and safety reasons. Clearly the owner watches his pennies. The sheets and towels were clean. When my wife was in bed, she noticed cigarette burn holes in the very thin blanket. The outside trash cans overflowing with garbage.
