パラドール デ フェロル(Parador de Ferrol)

I was recommended to book with free breakfast. I was disqualified when I was told at check/in that I would have to pay for breakfast. Not clearly explained why.

Stay in double room with not much of a view, the bathroom is updated the furnitures outdated, the bed comfy. What cant be beat is the location and the view from outside. The front desk is efficient, breakfast standard, this is three star establishment afterall. Sign up for amigo de parador member and they will throw free breakfast. I reserved four months ahead and the rate was very economical. Great place to start camino ingles.

This hotel is so nice. We arrived by car and my biggest advice regarding that is to not follow Google Maps and to follow the signs. There is a parking lot out front where you can park free of charge, as long as it's not in one of the designated military spots. We were only there for one night. Check in was a little slow because only one person was available to check people in and he was busy when we arrived. But we were able to check in and we received our real keys (not key cards). The room on the first floor was beautiful and felt historical. There was a refrigerator in the large console that also houses the TV. The WiFi password is listed on the information sheet on the wall. I'm noting that because I almost missed it. Breakfast in the morning has a lot of options and takes place in a grand room. I was glad to have found this hotel during my stay in the area.

Located just at the end of Rua Real, this Parador is the perfect spot to explore the town and see the museums and the Military ships. Very comfortable rooms, the best linens, great breakfast! Parking is at a premium so call ahead.

The Parador itself is absolutely beautiful and in a very convenient location. Our room was gorgeous. The downside was the rudeness of some of the staff, most especially a young lady that works in the bar at night. My husband went to order drinks but he doesn’t speak any Spanish, she treated him in a disdainful manner and he was left feeling pretty angry. On the second night I went to the bar to order drinks (I am pretty fluent in Spanish), again she was surly. It’s such a shame when someone obviously does not enjoy her job and takes it out on the patrons.

Lovely parador. Parking somewhat challenging. Not lots of food choices.

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel in a nice location in the heart of El Ferrol. It's a walkable distance to the shopping road. El Ferrol, unfortunately, has a fair number of shuttered storefronts, but it's a nice stroll through the heart of town and felt safe. The parador is a lovely building, and the two rooms we booked were large, well-cleaned, and maintained. Our room had a great corner view of the waterfront and harbor buildings. We'd stay here again. The cafeteria became our evening meal place, where we could sit comfortably and enjoy finger-food meal each evening. We did not try the restaurant.

Good location as in it's close to the Camino start. Old hotel....clean and tidy. Reception was very friendly. Wi-fi worked very well. Very quiet. Comfy bed. We didn't have breakfast. We didn't think the room was worth what we paid but, overall, it was fine.

We were traveling on the Feve line to Oviedo the next day and this was a perfect place e to stay , about a 15 minute walk from the station though the town to the Naval district of Ferrol. We had a wonderful stay , nice room , characterful property, friendly people in a historic build. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the property. For dinner a special ‘Menu del dia’ was on offer at a good price which was more than satisfactory… breakfast offered a great buffet selection with wonderful pastries. If in Ferrol this is the place to stay , sadly we only got an hour of the Feve train trip as the little train broke down, we may have to go back and stay again.
