I thought the hotel manager was lovely and helpful.  The dinner on the rooftop was excellent.  My objection was that the Riad was dark and walking up five flights of stairs to my room was a bit of a haul.

The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

非常有設計感的古董酒店，尤其是在菲斯這個地方…住一個清凈又美麗酒店還是很重要的！服務很和氣，會有行李員來藍門接送，也會帶你參觀給你介紹。庭院和公共區域也很乾凈和漂亮，是個比較大的Riad可以走走逛逛的地方還挺多的。紅色房間內層高也挺高的，空間很大。衞浴用品也很香很好用。SPA比較一般。

完美的住宿地點！位於非斯老城裡麪的一間摩洛哥傳統Riad。車開不進非斯老城，民宿會有人出來接並幫忙拿行李。民宿巨美，一定要來住！唯一的問題是去吃早飯要爬非常高的台階，對長者不太友好。除此之外一切完美，一定要體驗摩洛哥風情住宿！

Loved our Red room, staff was amazing, food was very good and so was the limited but good Moroccan wine if you splurge a bit. Hamman is a must if you never had one. Would come back anytime.

Riad Laaroussa was one of my husband and my favorite places to stay during our 3 week tour around Morocco. What a gorgeous, historic property! The Terrace Suite was luxurious, oozing with character, spacious, very well equipped, and we had a great view from our private terrace. The bed was comfortable with soft linens and good pillows. The bathroom was enormous with a deep soaking tub, large shower, bidet, double sinks and a closet with loads of storage. Towels, robes and slippers were top quality. They offer a very reasonable, quick and excellent laundry service among their many amenities. It was quiet during the day and night, so we slept soundly. We're so glad that we had 3 nights here and would have been happy staying longer. Service was outstanding. Everyone here treated us with such kind attention and care. We especially appreciated Othmane, who we think is a manager, though all the people working in the riad were delightful. Meals in their rooftop bistro were good, especially breakfast. On a very hot day we cooled off in their pool, which is in a peaceful setting with plenty of loungers, sun or shade - your choice. The location in the medina is convenient and they escorted us to dinner at a different riad one night and came back to collect us afterwards. We really can't say enough good things about this riad and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to Fes.

A fabulously restored Riad in the medina. One of a few with a pool. Has quite a design vibe to it. You won’t go far wrong staying there. Our room (Green Suite) was amazing though slightly blighted by tourists peering through the windows as it’s on the found floor overlooking the garden/central courtyard. Breakfast was OK but a bit samey, with the “fresh fruit” consisting of a meagre few pieces of apple and melon. Think thy could do better bearing in mind all the wonderful fruit available in the medina. Dinner was reasonable quality and we took advantage of eating in for 3 nights rather than venturing out at night. Again menu fairly limited but this is in common with other restaurants generally in Morocco. Alcohol is served which is rarer than I had imagined. We did have a couple of service issues. I did find it odd that having booked a table for dinner on our first night and spa treatments months before arriving, the manager asked me to move the times of both for reasons that weren’t explained. They did honour the bookings in the end but I was left feeling like I was the one at fault! Then when we wanted to book dinner more spontaneously for the other 2 nights we were greeted with sucking of lips….need to check with the chef etc. We agreed on one night to eat at 6.30 to assist the kitchen but restaurant was quiet. All a bit odd. So if you want to eat in book at the time of room reservation and reconfirm nearer the time!

OUTSTANDING!!!! To a person the staff were exceptional-- personable, helpful, humorous, anticipating what we might need from shade to a mint tea. The finest staff I have met at any accommodation I've stayed at; they clearly want to make every traveler feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and unique. There are many smaller common areas to relax in hidden throughout the Riad. The rooftop is a fabulous place to relax, enjoy breakfast, an afternoon lemonade and dinner as the sun sets. The Hamman was excellent. I cannot imagine a better place to stay while in Fez.

Booked a hammam with massage (1.5hrs in total). This was our First time trying hammam. Not use to the heat but our body adjusted after several minutes of being inside the heated marble room. Massage was good and pressure was perfect to my liking. Hope it was longer. After our treatment we went upstairs for complimentary green tea. Great view of the medina. We decided to have a light meal - grilled calamari and fish of the day. Tasted great! Will do it again when we return to Fez

We stayed 3 nights in the Terrace suite. These were the final days of a 6 week holiday and we picked the perfect location to chill out prior to making our way home. The room is very stylish which a super comfy bed and plenty of space to stretch out. The staff were lovely from the minute we were picked up by the porter all the way until we checked out and were helped back to our car. There is a very calm, serine atmosphere throughout the Riad with a particular highlight being met by Paul the turtle during check-in and the locally made embroidered slippers which have become our #1 memento of our time is Fes. We particularly appreciated their ecologic approach to consumables in the room (no plastic or disposable containers) and their preference for a one time tip at check-out if you chose that gets shared out between all the staff. They also happily booked a Medina tour, city car tour and airport transfer for us.

We truly loved this Riad, it is beautiful. We stayed here for NYeve and that was a big big disappointment. We thought there would be music and a kind of party to celebrate NY eve but there was NOTHING. At 10.30 pm we were the last ones in the bistro and there was a complete silence. Very very disappointing as we found out that the Riad we stayed after this one the May Fez had a big NY eve celebration with music, dance and lots of fun.

Very beautiful historic property (over 300 years old). Rooms were luxurious, clean, and with modern amenities. Breakfast was amazing and so was the dinner (though do reserve table in advance for dinner). Location is great as it is close to everything (15 min walking distance to almost everything) yet the noise level was very low. Be prepared to do a lot of climbing up and down the stairs (an elevator is in process of being installed). Staff was amazingly helpful -- after checkout at early hours we were stuck at airport since our flight got canceled. I called the Riad manager and he quickly arranged for transport from airport to train station. Could not thank him enough.

Our family of four adults stayed at Riad Laaroussa during the week of Christmas. It was an incredible experience that we can’t recommend more highly. The staff is always there to help guests navigate Fes and they look out for all of your needs (sometimes even before you know you have them.) One of us had a terrible cold and had to skip a day of touring. The staff brought us medicine from the pharmacy, provided meals in the room and ensured he was comfortable. The Riad itself is gorgeous and well located. The restaurant is also terrific. Even though it was too cold and rainy to enjoy the terrace, we did go up there to enjoy watching one sunset. We will absolutely stay at Laaroussa if we get to Fes again. It would be literally impossible to improve on our visit!
