The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Big rooms and gorgeous rooftop with a panoramic view of Fez and the Rif mountains. Large pool that is perfect for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. Shout out to Omar for driving us to Voulibilus and Meknes and Chefchaouen and Tangier. He is friendly, knowledgeable and a safe driver. We were lucky to have him.

Great location, stunning accommodation and wonderful service! Appreciate that they met us to help get our luggage and ensure we knew where to find it. Breakfast had so many options and was delicious. The team was very kind and offered many great restaurants and hammams. Would definitely recommend.

This is the riad to choose if you're visiting Fes. It's charming and beautiful, with a nice swimming pool. The included breakfast is delicious, and the dinner menu is tasty and varied. The terrace has lovely views of the city. The hammam is wonderful, and the service all around the hotel could not possibly be better.

Stepping into Riad Laaroussa is like stepping into a desert oasis or a mirage...you can't quite believe it's real. The riad is so stylish, yet retains a very authentic feel, the team there are faultless and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone is warm and friendly yet never overbearing. The whole place is SPOTLESSLY clean, I don't know how they do it. The food in the bistro served on the huge beautiful terrace was delicious and the breakfast granola (all home made) was divine. I feel I need to give a shout out to the bed and the pillows...I honestly don't think I have stayed in a comfier bed whilst away from home. We had two rooms (as we were very kindly upgraded to a suite part-way as we were on honeymoon) were fabulous. Perhaps my favourite element was the swimming pool. So many Riad's can only offer a tiny plunge pool in an awkward location, but not here. The pool is a really decent size for a proper swim, surrounded by sun beds and lush greenery. There is shade or sun all day depending on what you want. In 38 degree heat it was heaven. What are you waiting for?? If you don't book Riad Laaroussa you are missing out!

This was our third trip to Fes and the Riad Laaroussa. We had intended to visit in 2020 but the pandemic curtailed that trip and this the earliest we could come back. Our opinion hasn’t changed since our last reviews, without a doubt, this is an exceptional establishment. Obviously there has been some changes of staff over the years but there has been no change in the service delivery, which is simply excellent. Having visited Fes before we choose to relax as much as possible in the luxurious surroundings of the Riad, be it on the roof terrace, court yard garden or the pool (a welcome addition since our last trip). We have always dined at some point at the Riad Bistro on the roof. The food is always superb and this time, we were very well looked after by Hiba. Fred, Kathy and their staff do an amazing job, we hope to be back again soon.

From the mint tea and cookies when we arrived to check in, to the help we received in transporting our bags when we left, our stay was wonderful. The location is perfect, the common spaces are beautiful, and our room was large and very clean. The owner and staff all told us to please let them know if there was anything they could do to improve our stay. My wife mentioned that the heavy comforter on our bed was too warm given the temperatures in the 90's; that evening we found a lighter comforter on our bed. Staying here was the highlight of our 2.5 weeks in Morocco.

The place was simply outstanding. Beautifully appointed in the traditional style, excellent amenities, with wonderfully helpful staff and a great location. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious. Dinner was good, on the roof terrace with great views. With that said, for an outstanding dinner experience we would recommend the restaurant at Dar Roumana (another wonderful riad at Fez).

Amazing hotel, quiet and traditional, with a wonderful court and a relaxing beautiful pool. The staff is incredibly kind and nice. Large rooms decorated with taste. Two turtles as pets who drove my kids crazy! Good food at the roof terrace bistro though I have to say that the service can get really slow. Average massage.

This hotel was great, the staff was able to book reservations for restaurants for us. They also have a water filter so you can refill your water bottle. They also offer laundry service which we used as it was the middle of our trip. It takes 24 hours but even my t shirts came back ironed! We also dined here and did the massage and hammam here as well. The staff is very nice and the spaces for people to hang out are comfortable and welcoming. They can serve you mint tea while you relax after a long day. I liked this riad the best of all the ones we stayed in Morocco.

The staff at Riad Laaroussa are exceptional! They did everything they could to make us comfortable and help us get around (booked taxis for us, transported our luggage to and from the riad, suggested restaurants, etc.). The room was beautiful, the air conditioning worked great, and it was very quiet (even though we were on the first floor just off the lobby). I would absolutely stay here again if I visited Fes.

This place is phenomenal! We can’t wait to come back. A wonderful place to land and start our time in Morocco. Beautiful riad with gorgeous rooms. Ours had a fireplace, which we used—very cozy. The staff is extremely kind and supportive. They helped us book a tour through the Fes medina with an awesome guide, Yassine. We highly recommend Yassine. The rooftop restaurant has awesome food with great service and some of the best views in the city. We also had hammam and massages at the spa, which were wonderful and helped alleviate our jet lag. The front desk staff also arranged for a fabulous driver—Omar—from the airport. He was so great we requested him as our driver to Merzouga and Marrakech. Omar was attentive, knowledgeable, informative. He shared intriguing personal commentary that helped us connect with the culture and history of places we passed through. He made lots of fun scheduled stops to enchanting sites along the way. If you’re looking for a wonderful driver and guide, book with Omar: he gets our 5-star review!

Loved the calming splashing of water in so many places, all of the quiet rooms and gardens, and the lovely rooftop dining.

I returned to Fes this year largely so I could return to this hotel. A grand palace restored magnificently and filled with a mix of Moroccan antiques and contemporary pieces that blend perfectly. A labyrinth of stairs, corridors, sitting rooms, centered around the principal courtyard planted with lemon trees and alive with the sound of the fountain and chirping birds. I could stay there forever.
