Late check in, night attendant was rude. The front door is locked at night, need to key to get in (good thing) but I pick up the phone which rings and rings, and a woman walks up and holds the door open, saying nothing... I walk in and go up to the counter the woman is walking away but stops and says "what do you want".? I tell her I want to check in than she goes behind the counter and bluntly asks for my ID, no greeting, no welcome, nothing. As she is silently checking me in I notice a sign about getting a dishware kit for the kitchen. When I ask her about it she just yells at me that she's really busy and I will have to wait till she gets to it! The customer service never really improved at the front desk. It's the housekeeping that is courteous, polite and treats you like a guest, unlike the persons at the counter who should be the example of service. And the signs everywhere about cleanliness.. that is a joke! Place is dirty, filthy and SMELLS! Bring your cleaning supplies, you will want to wipe the grime away before you touch anything!

Well when I checked in to the Extended Stay at 25 Merritt Blvd in Fishkill NY, the guy behind the desk seemed like he had an attitude, he tried to charge me per night, when I had already told him that I was checking in and that I already had reservations, I showed him my phone with my reservation details, it seemed like he didn't know what he was doing honestly, then he asked if I had a pet and was it a service animal, I told him yes I have a cat 😺 and no not a service animal, then he tried to charge me for my pet, I told him that the other hotel, same name, didn't charge me, then finally he gave me my room key 🗝️, I go to the room and the room is already occupied, so I go back downstairs and tell him he gave me keys to an occupied room and he said oh sorry 😔, I was really upset already, so he finally gives me the right key to the room, this took like almost 30 minutes to check into my room, honestly I was really upset and it shouldn't have happened to begin with

I was super happy with my room. There was a problem with my booking and they had to give me an upgraded room and I really enjoyed it.

I have stayed at thousands of hotels in my life time and this was the WORST experience ever Filthy, noisy broken shower head so could not even shower AND I paid too much for this crap Deserved to be taken down from this site

Good place and front desk was very accommodating when I came in late around 1am, friendly staff and room was clean and spacious.

Was not happy with the continental breakfast. Need to include more items - as cereal, milk, juice, fresh fruit

Room was not ready for a long time. Hotel was noisy into the night. Only soap and tissues provided. Mattress was terrible. I felt it every time my husband moved. But our backs did okay. Pillows were okay. Shower curtain and pictures were okay. Couldn’t turn a/c fan off. Thank goodness for earplugs. TV had no sound.

I really can't answer this because the hotel overbooked my room and I had to drive 10 more miles and get another room at another hotel chain for double the money. There was no manager on duty and the chains "guest relations" hung up on me.... I just asked repeatedly what they were going to do to resolve this and they said there was nothing they could do . Really very unexceptable.

This is an older property, severely in need of updating. Room amenities are basic and although clean, desperately in need of repairs, cracked countertops and flooring, dresser drawers open on their own, pull out couch very squeaky and no bedding was provided. No toiletries provided. The night staff was very nice. The morning front desk staff member was on a FaceTime call the entire time I was trying to talk to her. No one had replenished the breakfast items, no hot water (how hard is that?!?), she was upset about other staff and complained loudly, using profanity, remaining on her private FaceTime call the entire time she was doing this task. Breakfast was a joke, packaged muffins, packets of oa**eal and granola bars. Coffee, yes, but the hot water carafe was empty both mornings I was there. The cleaning gal in the morning was very nice.
