Coombs Inn & Suites

Was very disappointed that after a very long trip, our room was not ready at 4.00pm. There was no bathroom available outside of the room so we had to go into town for one. Not a warm welcome.

CONS Bait and switch in reverse—Website showed a beautiful room with a large square jacuzzi. The price was more than standard room, but the tub was enticing, so we chose it and even decided to spend an extra night. The room we were given had a little triangular jacuzzi THAT DIDN’T EVEN WORK!!! So it was just a slightly oversized tub. But we were told they would not refund the difference in the room cost. And the hot water was enough to only fill it one-third full. No housekeeping services! No ice machine! No tissues in room! No person at front desk to tell us what room was ours. Check-in was a total debacle! Only two smallish towels in the room with no hope of getting more or having them refreshed. Only two coffee pods for three nights and no hope of getting more. Room darkening was non-existent. Room had slatted shades that let in tons of light as the room faced the streetlights and also the porch light that could not be turned off. Lots of road noise. No directions given to operate ceiling fans/lights and thermostat. No-contact check-in. Is it an excuse to not have personnel available to meet customers needs? Satellite connection for tv did not work. Not enough light for reading, etc. Set up for only one person staying - one chair, one luggage rack. Tiny hidden closet - in toilet closet! PROS Friendly townsfolk Nice location near shopping & dining Air conditioning worked well once we figured how to use it. Room spacious and quaintly decorated. Small but nice refrigerator.

A little noisy on the road side. Not unexpected. Nice porch to sit on, facilities were clean, typical older house, lovely entrance hall. Enjoyed our stay.

Cute Old Florida Inn. One recommendation: don’t do lawn maintenance early on Sunday morning!

An older home converted to an Airbnb. This home is perfect in so many ways. Has old time personality, with modern convenience. We rented two rooms that more than met our requirements. Both rooms were as advertised. Check-in was done remotely with no problems and followed up with a phone call. We couldn't have asked for anything more and WILL be staying at the Coombs Inn & Suites again. Note: The outside Cat was a welcome attraction for my Sister-in-law who was missing her cat at home.

Beautiful Victorian home. This time of year very few guests. Great porch and amenities chairs side and drank wine. Watch people drive by. Period

Definitely affordable! Bed was noisy, but the room was very clean.

No one on reception. Anyone could just walk in and then there was a sign saying call a number and someone will remotely check us in . Cost a fortune to call and then ages for them to answer. They told us our key was outside in the mailbox. We let ourselves into our room which was all in darkness, even though they said that they had left the lights on. Light and fan in room didn’t work. On our return from dinner there was someone at the reception desk, but they totally ignored us . The room had seen better days. I was disappointed that ******* even promote this property.

Very disappointed. Nobody at reception desk to greet us or answer questions. My room wasn't very clean. No place to hang clothes... wardrobe had no hangers and drawers were too dirty to lay clean clothing in. Levolor blinds had no handles to close them. Glass paneled doors into room from lobby had only sheers. Light from lobby illuminated my room all night. Toilet seat was loose. Room had a Keurig coffee maker, but there were no pods available. Positives: Good location and comfy mattress.
