ホリデイ イン ゲイザーズバーグ IHG ホテル(Holiday Inn Gaithersburg)

When we were arriving, we didn’t have navigation so it was wonderful to see the big sign from the road. Check in is also 24hrs which really helped us as we were arriving late. The room had everything we needed and included 3 power points under the table lamps. It would’ve been nice to have brighter lights as it was a bit dim but the lamps helped to focus the lighting. All the staff and housekeeping were friendly but I wished the front desk had more knowledge for overseas travellers. It’s also conveniently located near a shopping area. We got our traveller eSIM cards from the nearby AT&T store. I didn’t get to use the amenities.

Very unsafe. I arrived at midnight (gave the front desk a heads up). There were two homeless men camped right outside the building, watching my every move which made me feel uncomfortable to begin with. When I walked through the first set of sliding doors there was a homeless man touching his parts and had set up camp there for the night. I could not get through the second set of doors because they were locked. Called front desk and it took them several minutes to come out there despite me expressing the concern of what was going. Security came out and was very nonchalant about the whole situation. Staff did not even apologize for their lapse in security. I asked to cut my stay short and booked with another hotel for the following night. I’m am currently having to fight and get “manager approval” to get my money back. Unprofessional and unsafe. Don’t stay here.

We didn’t have hot water in our shower last night if this am . They offered to move us across hall at 11:30 last night . That water we ran and ran and it too was lukewarm we stayed in the room we booked and took lukewarm showers in an.

I made my reservations through ******* that costed $113.60 for a 1 night stay but they messed it up and could not find my reservations. The hotel stay was ok but I was charged an additional $50 from the hotel that was supposedly be on hold then returns me. I haven’t received it yet!!!

We were disappointed upon arrival to learn the pool and hot tub were out of order. Not just out of order but completely drained. The hotel was average. Outdated compared to hotels in the area and they need to their key card/door lock system. The key cards and locks haven't been updated in at least 15 years and the property manager/engineer (bless him) had to come up with us to show us the secret card jiggle to be able to get into our room. Staff was nice, but the hotel could use some upgrades. Price was okay but we thought it was a good deal WITH the pool. No pool and it's a clean place to crash. No bugs or rodents though, so also a plus!

Overall the hotel is nice and in a good area however, in the room the tub was clogged and air condition turns off in the middle of the night over and over.

I don’t like giving bad reviews and it was not a bad experience but it could’ve been better. For starters, the front desk receptionist did not see my reservation which some confusion/errors are understandable but she was not communicating with me about what was going out so I continually kept asking if everything was okay. The hall lights are very dim and makes it look creepy. The person above my room was walking around very loudly all night. I couldn’t even call the front desk because our phone was not working.
