The location was good, We wanted to see the Great Tapestry of Scotland. The room was very small, however, tea and coffee makings were on the floor. No breakfast though it is called a B and B. Checkout at 10 a.m, earlier than the usual 11 a.m.

What sort of monster hangs the toilet roll that way????? Apart from that no issues

Clean, nice people and very convenient for station. Note: parking is at back and satnav will take you to front.

Very friendly staff combined with being directly opposite the train station makes Monorene an ideal base for exploring the Borders and Edinburgh alike!

I booked this property for my Husband to stay in for work as it was the cheapest around. You certainly do get what you pay for. He had a tiny room with a single bed and a sink that close to the bed he barely had room to manoeuvre. He was outside talking to another guest and was asked to be quiet as not allowed to make noise, thats fine i can't disagree about noisy people but they were talking not shouting. The bed was the cheapest of cheap that he barely slept due to it being so uncomfortable. If your going to put guests up the beds need to be top quality. He will definitely not be staying again

I stayed for two nights and had to sleep under two quilts (I was solo in a twin) with a jumper over my nightclothes and socks on. I tried to switch on the bathroom heater and it didn’t work. There are no staff in the guesthouse overnight so I told the manager/owner on the following morning. He said that all the bathroom heaters were broken and he wasn’t going to repair them because guests kept leaving them on. He was unsympathetic about the whole thing and did nothing to provide heat for the bathroom. It was too cold to use the shower without any heating. So I strongly advise people against booking here.

A comfortable stay on a Sunday night to let me get to Edinburgh in good time on Monday. I travelled by car but noted how close this accommodation is to the rail and bus transport hub, and an easy walk across the nearby bridge, to the main street. Note that breakfast is nit provided at present, but is available in town.

The proprieter is very friendly and helpful. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay and this was reflected in the price. The location is excellent for all amenities. No breakfast was offered, but plenty of places nearby to satisfy.

Directly opposite the train station and 2 minutes from the bus station. Clean comfortable room and tea making facilities, perfect! Hosts were extremely helpful. Note: no breakfast and very weak WiFi but this was overcome without a problem.
