這家位置比較偏僻，需要坐突突車上山，不過總體也不遠。酒店衞生、服務總體還不錯，餐食一般，但是booking上9.9的評分還是過高了些，9分左右吧。比較好的是床比較硬，適合腰椎間盤突出不適的人。

What a fantastic place! It’s a beautiful old house with spacious comfortable rooms, an amazing collection of furniture, artwork, old prints and photos, as well as an extensive and eclectic library. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. I needed to see a doctor : in discussion, we decided it would be both cheaper and quicker for me to go to the outpatients at Asiri private hospital- they offered to accompany me. In fact, I went alone and it was a very easy, efficient, and cheap process- much more so than getting care in that situation in New Zealand. There is a pool, the best we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. The food is great and generous serves. We were very happy to have stayed there rather than the centre of Galle: it is in a quiet, peaceful area, and a reasonable walk or a short tuk tuk ride from the historic centre. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

The Sun House provides a tranquil setting, yet is just a 15 minute walk from bustling Galle Fort. The property is beautifully restored, I appreciated the attentive service from the owners and the team. Some lazy hours by the pool has brought my trip to Sri Lanka to a wonderful end. I highly recommend The Sun House.

We had a wonderful restful 2 days here stopping over from Yala to Hikkaduwa Beach. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the old city of Galle but away from the madness of the town centre. The courtyard and pool area are an absolute oasis and you can easily while away an afternoon in the peace and quiet. The hotel has thoughtfully been done with so many personal touches it feels like a home. The rooms are spacious and a particular highlight was the bath on the balcony, where you can listen to birds and see the monkeys going about their business. Amazing food (especially the breakfast) and lovely staff to look after you.

This was our first three days in Sri Lanka. The very welcoming staff, plus the superb restoration of the property and the food made for a perfect start to our holiday. The owners, Tim and Samir, were very attentive to our needs, as were their charming and committed staff. The property is well located above the noise and bustle of Galle, but within an easy walk to Galle Fort.

Exquisitely beautiful property outside of the Galle Fort but in walking distance. Impeccable service, delicious food and cocktails. Old world charm and beauty. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. Our room was spacious and comfortable there was always someone available to see to our every need. The garden was impeccable as was the taste in decorating the common spaces with a mix of antiques and Sri Lanken design.

We were staying much further down the coast but stopped at The Sun House for lunch before a walk around Galle Fort. We pigged out on amazing seafood - described as small (podi) plates but actually very generous amounts. Butter-fried calamari is (almost) always great but this was the best we've had; really enjoyed the barramundi also and, though pretty stuffed, couldn't help but later order the prawn dumplings. The team very kindly set us a table overlooking the lovely pool with amazing old frangipanis dotting the lawn. The house (boutique hotel) is interesting to visit in its own right; an antidote to big, commercial units elsewhere. We loved it - will have to stay properly next time.

Just reopened following refurbishment, this is a gorgeous place to stay in Galle. Really charming colonial style house retaining real character, but some sleek interior design touches, beautiful gardens with frangipani trees, flowers, lovely pool and the odd monkey! Great food - some fusion dishes making it a bit different to the usual fare and delicious cocktails. Because it's just a short walk outside the fort it means there's much more space, a lovely pool, and it's only 10 mins to get there. highly recommended - and very good value given how great the place is. Staff really friendly and helpful - we came with our baby and they loved her..We have stayed a lot of places in sri lanka and this is now one of our favourites!

A master piece! Came here for a drink and ended up staying the night. Such a beautiful house with great art and antique furniture. Lovely garden and pool to relax in and the staff were lovely. Couldn't really fault anything. Its not on the beach but a short Tuk Tuk journey away and walking distance to the fort. This is a must for anyone looking to stay in Galle.
