This was an amazing place to stay!! Private home set up as eightplex for visitors in Galveston. Sat on front porch in a comfy rocking chair enjoying lifes sounds in the evening. All done in antiques and so lovely!

Excellent place to stay. I was solo but it would be especially awesome for groups traveling together to all have their own space plus group space. My room was close to the kitchen so there was potential for it being too noisy for me, but I was lucky and it was fine.

It was perfect. Wish we had 2 nights there. Everything Rich and I wish we would have had many years ago.

Lovely historic home close to everything. there are stairs is that is an issue with luggage

The 1890 was a very cute B&B in Galveston that was a perfect location to attractions and bars/restaurants. Many were within walking distance. The 1890 immediately transports you to a simpler time and place. The living room was complete with a decorated Chris**as tree and a coffee table with a copy of A Chris**as Carol. One could easily imagine a family sitting around the table listening to a reading of this wonderful story with cup of coffee or tea. Serving trays and glasses were available in each room for family refreshments or more sophisticated drinks for any adults, and a coffee and tea bar was available in the living room which was fully stocked. The kitchen was very modern and had all amenities you could want. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The porch was relaxing and providing a great view while taking in the fresh evening air. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in town. My wife and I would absolutely stay again when we come back to Texas. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We’ve stayed several times and the house is always lovely with clean spacious rooms and beautiful common areas with a kitchen. Antique, vintage decor throughout the home. Highly recommended for a getaway on the east end of the island, in walking distance to the strand as well as the beach.

We loved our stay at the 1890 Freeman House in Galveston. This location is perfect and situated in a pleasant, historical neighborhood that is walkable to the Strand area downtown and accessible to great restaurants and entertainment venues such as the historic Opera House. This street has beautiful Victorian homes that are charming and were decorated for the holidays. The home is equipped with everything one might need.

This place was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location with walking distance to shopping and much more. I’ll definitely be staying there again.
