Magpie Libing Grand (MG Marg)

I would call it as one of the hidden gems. Located on the MG road above Pantaloons showroom. Vehicle goes till the reception, vehicle entry is on the MG road. I have opted for a family room, very spacious and clean. 24 hours hot water availability, breakfast spread is good. Staff are courteous and service is good. They proactively offered me packed breakfast at 6.30am on the day of the check out.

Location Location Location Just on the M G road with all the cafes and restaurants around . Spacious size rooms and a spread of tasty and sumptuous breakfast. Attentive and helpful staff receptionist and restaurant service staff. Will recommend this place for all visitors.

Loved this place nestled in a corner but bang next to m g marg...The taxi brings you right in front of the hotel but there is a entrance at the back which is the ground floor. And that gets you to the famous mg marg... The welcome was great by the reception staff, polite and courteous and very helpful.. The room was large with everything in place..the only drawback is the hot water is not sufficient, esp. In winters. The restaurant staff were also very polite and served us very well, with delicious breakfast items..unbelievable were the idlis and sambar... On the mg marg , are loads of eating joints, bakeries and cafes..... Would def. Like to vist gangtok again and stay in this place...

The hotel is located on the main market road; very good location with a lift going up to lobby on fourth floor. Parking on the road is a major issue but can be handled. Reception desk is efficient and helpful. We took a family room which was huge with a large bathroom having all necessary amenities. Food was good; buffet breakfast was reasonable and service quick. Overall,very comfortable place at a reasonable enough cost.
