ザ ロイヤル ホテル(The Royal Hotel)

Convient location. Welcoming, friendly reception. The room was clean with all that was required for my overnight stay. ie tv and internet. Excellent breakfast, set me up for rest of the day.

nice hotel. No Lift if you are struggling up the stairs. Al;l the staff were very nice and helpful. Now two things which i find with most Hotels Number One i always take a can of Raid Fly Killer and douse the beds both sides of mattress if i can and the base of the bed and pull it out from wall and spray round the carpet edges. so i did this and never itched. 2nd point is Breakfast underneath Infa Red Lights at the Royal i was down early for Breakfast and everything was luke warm apart from the Sausages.. If you have the lights on too high it dries the food out more two low everything thing goes cold. The other thing in all hotels they always put the toast out early on Every body is different but if they asked do you want Toast now or Later. I like to have cerials then the cooked breakfast and finish off with Toast and Jam/ Marmalade ect. The shower worked and worked well and Bathroom was alright. Room was good and warm. when i walked in they had left the heater on and i had to turn it down.and they made Vegan Sausages for one of the Guest.

We stayed in a family room over looking the sea. The view was superb. The position of the hotel was also perfect. The room was large but sp****ly furnished. It could do with some updating really. A few extra touches would have been nice … perhaps a fridge… The bed was comfortable but it would have been better if it was a king size. The heater was old and difficult to change the temperature. The room was either too hot or too cold. The decor needs updating too and the shower room was cold and tired and to be fair disappointing. The breakfast was however amazing. All in all a nice stay but would have paid a bit more for a more smarter room. I think the whole hotel could be more luxurious with some easy updates.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Royal Hotel. The staff are friendly, and they do a good job. The English Breakfast buffets in the morning are solid. I always book a single room, but this time, the room was even smaller than before, and pretty threadbare. No lamp on the one table. The window in the bathroom was broken, and the heater didn't work consistently, so it was sometimes chilly in there. Biggest issue was the WiFI, which didn't work all week until my last night. I was forced to use my phone, on an international plan, as a hotspot for emails. Doing zoom calls became impossible, so I had to find other places for my meetings. That was a big bummer.

Had to ask for a change of room after first night as mattress was completely broken with springs collapsed and a bathroom light that wouldn't switch off. Very 'tired' with mouldy shower grout, broken window blinds, filthy windows etc. The full english is great however!

Room a little tired but very clean good size too shower a bonus didnt have to fiddle with it for right temp staff very pleasant and breakfast a real bonus plenty fresh and hot plus many varied cerials juices yogurts etc

Room was ok, bed could do with a new mattress. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice was brilliant, I filled up to keep me going well into the afternoon. Thanks to everyone for a very enjoyable stay.

Room & bathroom clean, not a comfortable 3 nights stay reckon bed needed a topper or new mattress. Breakfast plentiful and tasty.

Excellent situation, staff were friendly, breakfast was good. I found the bed to be a bit soft but my wife loved it!
