I had a really good stay at the hotel. My only negative comments it would be that where the room is situated, when it rains it comes noise from the rain. Otherwise, very good stay, breakfast and service.

Had to pay to be able ti check-in one hour early. The view from my room was a dumpster. Breakfast was not pleasant.

It was a unique historical hotel and enjoyed being a part of history. Would stay here again!!!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. When takibg a shower the whole bathroom floor is covered with water - which is rater unacceptable in a business room. Will try to find another hotel in Gävle with a proper bath!

Wonderful and classy hotel! They even have an environmentally conscious approach to their service and the breakfast is top notch. Will stay again and again.

The hotel is as a hotel should be. It oozes atmosphere and I love the beautiful decorations. This old "Stads Hotellet" has been beautifully taken care of and restored by Elite. The staff are welcoming and professional. As I am a "********** Gold member", however, I had expected not to be allocated a room down in the basement without a window. It was probably a kind of window with frosted glass high below the ceiling. Other than that, the room was nice in every way. Clean and with everything you need. The temperature and air was good, and the bed was also very comfortable. Absolutely delightful!

Lovely hotel, very close to station and also right next to town. I was there for a few hours only and booked a single room, which really was just about big enough for 1 person who just wanted to sleep there (which I did). But it was comfy and clean. The restaurant was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

Room in the basement. Moisty room. Breakfast very poor with “fresh” fruit from cans. Could expect more from a Grand Hotel.
