-Green to the Extreme- This hotel should have 5 stars as they have excellent breakfast, the facility is renovated and in good shape, parking is free and common areas are well-maintained. My main problem pertains to their "Green" practice, which has been taken to an extreme level. As a "green" hotel, the lights in the room shut off completely after 30 minutes of in-room motion. Working at the desk in my room, I had the lights shut off 5 times while I was trying to work at my desk (very annoying). Secondly, all of the outlets are set to green timers so they shut-off after 30 minutes. This means that their own alarm clock doesn't work because it resets to 12 AM every 30 minutes......lol.....why is it even in the room? Being green is one thing, penny pinching is another. If they truly wanted to save the environment, they wouldn't have a hot tub and pool (believe it or not, heating these puppies 24-7 costs far more than shutting off visitor's high efficiency LED lights and outlets. Get rid of these bologna problems and you will get five stars.

Nice clean hotel at a convenient location. Good free breakfast. I did have some confusion with my booking through *******. I arrived late and the front desk said my reservation was canceled due to the late arrival. The hotel then proceeded to charge me again for one night of 2 night stay. Initially the hotel manager said that there was nothing they could do. I contacted ******* and they called the hotel and coordinated getting my duplicate charge reversed. The second hotel manager called me back and explained what caused the mixup (new staff) and said that she had flagged the charge herself via her audit. Issue resolved professionally by both ******* and Microtel.

There is a sign at the front desk that clearly states all rooms are non- smoking and there is a $250 cleaning fee if abguest smokes in the room. When we walked into the room it reeked of cigarette smoke. I went to the front desk to see if we could change rooms. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available, we had no other option but to stay the night. The staff member gave me air freshener spray which only worked for a few minutes and then the smoke smell would return. When asked in the morning at checkout how my stay was, I told the staff the situation about the smell. No apologies were offered. We were charged over $300 for a substandard room. Very disappointed.

Nice location close to restaurants and about 45 min drive to multiple ski resorts. The lake view room is absolutely amazing and relaxing.

Nice and affordable hotel in a quiet, scenic location. Free breakfast, pool, and hot tub. Close to ski resorts where we were headed. Would stay at again if I was in the area.

This hotel is great. Clean, comfortable and quiet. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast had very little available for those of us that eat a gluten free diet.
