ル・ムーラン・ド・フルジュ(Le Moulin de Fourges)

This property is 25 minutes from Monet’s Garden and also from the Vernon train station. A taxi ride out is about €35 Euro, and the closest restaurants other than the one on the property are not within walking distance. You need a car if unwilling to deal with this. The staff is wonderful and when they understood that I was on foot they assisted me with taxi arrangements. The bedding was the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel stay this year and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. I would recommend the restaurant with 4 stars. Simple, elegant fare well prepared, fresh local ingredients and excellent flavors. I will stay here again, and spend more than one day, but I think I’ll rent a car.

A delightful hotel in a beautiful location. We particularly enjoyed the tranquility of sitting by the river in the evenings to unwind. The staff were unfailingly professional, attentive and friendly. Delicious food. Beautiful room. We'd definitely return.

This is a most beautiful hotel on the banks of the Epte. Perfect for a 2 night stay, and visit Monet house and gardens at Giverny during the middle day. The rooms are refurbished excellently and with style. Mine had a wonderful view of the weir. It is delightful to sit by the river on a summer evening for an aperitif, and the menu in the restaurant is fantastic. In fact, many tourists would visit there for lunch.

This gem of a hotel is hiden in the depth of the Normandie countryside.Beautiful surroundings and a excellent restaurant.

We spent four nights here. The room was, perhaps unavoidably given the location in a converted mill, quirky, on two levels with limited headroom upstairs. Ergonomics were poor, basic stuff like nowhere to hang a towel, unusable bathroom mirror, another triumph of interior design over practicality. Still, it was quite fun, with the river roaring outside, and generally well equipped. WiFi excellent. Parking was a challenge but a new large car park was nearly ready when we left. The Mill is a good base for local touring, Giverny is close by and it’s not far from the A13. There is a supermarket and fuel station in nearby Gasny. The staff were all friendly if a bit disorganised, some French skills will help. The restaurant is excellent but expensive and there is little else for miles. Everything kept very clean.

The location is super close to Paris and you feel you are far away from any city. Staff was super friendly and perfect for a long weekend. Good food, free bicycles and other activities and very comfy rooms.

Our suite was very comfortable & spacious with lovely river view . Bathroom Big & fresh . Just could use a hook on the back of door for clothes and a magnifying mirror would be a big help . Thanks for a wonderful stay and super friendly service .
