ゴハ ホテル(Goha Hotel)

Very nice location away from the hustle and dust of Gonder. But unfortunately, with the current conflicts in the region, soldiers are camped right outside my hotel window. I wasn’t bothered but it could be for others. Food was good and well prepared. WiFi only works in lobby. Staff quite friendly. Hardly any hot water and tv channels only 2-3 English ones. No shampoo either haha. But for a beautiful view of Gonder, this is the place.

Our booking got cancelled a day before we arrive to the city of Gonder. The explanation we received is the rooms are needed for government officials and there is nothing they can do to assist us. This is despite this week being the busiest time of the year due to Epiphany (Timket) celebrations. So far we are not able to make an alternative arrangements as all the hotels are fully booked. We are now frantically trying to get a hotel room.

A team of 4 friends stayed at Goha Hotel, Gonder between 29 and 31 July 2022. The hotel is located on the Mountain called Ghenet Terara at an altitude of 2306 m asl. The view from the hotel is breathtaking so you can view almost the entire parts of the City of Gonder. The bedroom is furnished in a classical style and neat and comfortable. The taste of the traditional Ethiopian food lingers in mouth. In the day, we did sight viewing using the telescope on back side of the hotel, and in the night, we were served with liquor in front of the bonfire. The dinner was fantastic and lavishly served by polite waiters. We were treated nicely and hospitably that we were discussing when to visit the hotel again, that time with our beloved family members. We thank the hotel for their astonishing service.

The hotel oversees the city and is 30 minutes away from the main attractions. The room was very clean and staff is very friendly. I wish they can supply the bathrooms with shampoos in the future.

We arrived on a private tour and no water and no power except for a generator that was on a few hours only. The room was not too good. The faucet was loose. A lamp was broken. There was no hot water ever. The service was forgettable. The food not too good. The pizza was cardboard. I could continue but we were only there one night. This is supposed to be the best hotel in Gondar which is hard to believe. The view was nice but so what

Hotel would not honour ********** booking. I had to pay full amount on check out. I now have to try to get a refund from ********** who are extremely difficult to communicate with.

L’hôtel Goha est une institution de Gondar, ayant ouvert ses portes en 1969. Il aurait inauguré par Haile Selassie. De fait, l’architecture de l’hôtel garde un certain charme de cette époque. Les espaces communs sont le principal atout de l’hôtel, ainsi que sa vue. Situé sur les hauteurs de la ville, l’hôtel est en effet très bien situé. La salle de réception est très belle, avec une grande hauteur sous plafond, mais c’est surtout la terrasse de l’hôtel qui rencontre un vrai succès, justifie ! La vue depuis la terrasse de l’hôtel est en effet époustouflante, tant sur Gondar que sur les montagnes alentours. L’hôtel dispose aussi d’un restaurant/bar très bien, et d’ailleurs assez couru. Seul bémol : les chambres sont un peu petites, et pourrait être un peu modernisées, mais ça n’est pas rédhibitoire. Personnel agréable.

戈哈酒店像極了以前那些破舊的政府機構酒店，酒店裡滿是群體住戶和當地人，但這酒店很不起眼，不過從這酒店看到的山頂風光都是挺棒的。所以酒店各方面在埃塞俄比亞這兒來說勉強三顆星吧-比如客房，服務，設施和餐館這些方面。這酒店的早餐一般。這地方似乎有些才開張的全新的旅遊酒店，去這些酒店似乎要更好。

昇級過了的前政府酒店，有時尚的淋浴房，以及可以俯瞰貢達爾和山谷的大露台。餐館里的食物很棒，戶外的噴泉在晚上都亮着燈。前台接待人員和藹、樂於助人，從這裏很容易叫一輛出租車或巴賈傑摩托車進城。
