ゴーハム モーター イン(Gorham Motor Inn)

I made a reservation through Travelocity. I booked for two nights. I arrived and went to the room. It was cold, but I figured it would warm up. The thermostat was at 50 which was the lowest setting. It was to cold to take a shower and there was nobody in the office. The next morning, I called Travelocity to cancel the second night. They said I had to call the hotel directly. It’s impossible to get to a person. I left. My hands hurt from being cold. They would not credit me.

The Gorham Motor Inn is an old-fashioned motor inn. It is a bit worn, but the gentleman who owns it is nice and caring, and you can access the snowmobile trails right from the parking lot. There is a lot of parking for trucks and trailers. Many people ski from here as well. There are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. It is a nice town.

My first thought when walking into my room was, "Well, this looks cozy!" And it was. Maybe a little dated, and there were some minor issues that could use some attention. There was a refrigerator and a coffeemaker, and everything was clean and in working order. the "included" breakfast wasn't much, but the staff were very friendly. I'd stay there again.

Staff are great and the room was super clean. Only downside is the walls are quite thin and you can hear the next room. Overall I would definitely stay there again based on the excellent service and the superb area. Absolutely stunning scenery!!

Watch out, check in now ends at 6pm! The very nice and helpful lady at the desk accommodated me this time but I don’t want to depend on a special favor next time so I will have to stay elsewhere. Other than that I like the place, it’s a perfect home base for hiking in the presidentials. It’s clean and the staff is nice people. That being said it’s almost funny how room furniture is outdated, it’s like a time capsule of the 1970s. It’s cool though, and clean, and it gets the job done. In each of 3 stays in different rooms, either the TV didn’t work, or the fridge, or the bathroom fan, or several of those. Make sure to mention at check in if you need any of those things.

Shower didn’t work. Old furniture. Patches on walls and ceiling. Noisy at night with traffic and trains.

This is fine. A little on the pricey side, but everything else was booked and much more expensive.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of cable channels. Well manicured grounds. Staff was friendly and helpful.
