ル サン ジョルジュ(Le Saint Georges)

レストランはとてもよかったです。予約の取り方、テーブル、料理、態度、雰囲気などすべてが気に入りました。スタッフの一人がどこからともなく現れ（彼は私たちのテーブルにサービスもしていませんでした）、デザートかコーヒーは要りますかと尋ねた瞬間まで。私は何も要りませんと答えました。次の瞬間、私たちは頼んでいない請求書を受け取りました。さらに、レストランで使った金額がそのまま表示される機械もありました。私たちはもうレストランに歓迎されていないと感じ、チップを残さずに支払いました。もちろん、それは階級が上の男性に報告されました。私の意見では、経営陣は従業員に、請求書を尋ねられなければ持参する必要はないことを教育する必要があります。そして請求書を置いて、請求書の支払い方法（現金かカード）を尋ねます。私はチップを残したかったので、キャッシュレス決済に充てました。そのようなオプションは提供されなかったので、すべてが気に入ったにもかかわらず、無愛想なウェイターにチップを置きませんでした。それでも、従業員の行動について謝罪してくれたので、私はこのレストランに最高の評価を与えます。

このホテルは素晴らしく、スタッフは素晴らしくて親切でした（特にオーナー）。私たちの部屋は広く、快適で、設備が整っていて、バルコニーと美しい景色がありました。必ずレストランで食事をしてください（フォンデュをお勧めします）。その小さな町にはすべてが徒歩圏内にあり、魅力的です。 (通りの向かい側のベーカリーで、メレンゲ入りのダブルダブルクリームがとても気に入りました。) 唯一のマイナス点は、バス停からホテルまでの上り坂と、部屋までの階段 (エレベーターなし) です。しかし、そこの人たちはフレンドリーで親切で、スーツケースも快く手伝ってくれたので、それほど悪くはありませんでした。

受付は親切でOK。 「ジュニアスイート」はただ広い部屋ですが、バスルームは簡素で、窓枠はほつれており、多少の改修が必要です。レストランのメニューは豊富ですが、主にピザとパスタですが、もっと興味深い料理もできるかもしれません（近くのレストランの方が良かったです）。

Amazing hotel right where the action is. We went for the cheese festival, great experience. The only thing to know before you book is tgat the room doesn’t have a/c and the structure has no lift. Service by Benjamin, Vincent and Ana was excellent! Loved Le Saint George’s hotel and Gruyeres.

Came here with a group of fellow students. Food was outstanding. We got fondue for all 21 of us, and desert after. It was incredible. The service was outstanding and the view was to die for. The fondue had a rich creamy taste, and was served with bread, potatoes, and pickled vegetables. The chocolate cake desert was served with the best vanilla ice cream i’ve ever had. Clearly they take advantage of the local dairy source!

We stopped in for dinner while in Gruyères along our 8-day trip through Switzerland. There was a good variety of options on the menu and I found the Cardinal ‘blanche’ to be pretty refreshing and decent, similar to a typical white ale / Hefeweizen. For my main, I ordered the combo fondue (half gruyeres and half vacherin cheese) which came with potatoes and bread. I found the cheese to have a well-balanced creamy flavor and almost tacky texture as it cools around the chunks of bread and potato. One suggestion would be to offer sliced up oven charred pizza crust with a light glaze of tomato sauce as an option for dipping into the cheese. I dipped my wife's pizza crusts into the fondue and the char and chewiness of the crust with the accents of tomato were a fantastic accompaniment to the fondue; way better than just the plain bread and potatoes. Perhaps the fondue community of Switzerland may find my suggestion appalling, but if they try it, I think they may come around because it was awesome. For desert, I had the 'apple pie' which was more like a tart served with fresh and delicious vanilla ice cream; this was definitely not your grocery store ice cream! Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner and would recommend other give it a try!

Went in here for a bite to eat when visiting the medievil town and what a great experience. You can sit with the large windows open out to a fantastic view. Food was brilliant and reasonably priced. Highly recommend visiting Staff were helpful and welcoming

Le Saint Georges was absolutely magical. Our entire stay in Gruyeres felt like a fairytale. We arrived well before check in but they happily took our luggage and worked with us to take care of check out then since we were leaving quite early the next morning. When we arrived back later in the day to officially get our room, they had already taken our luggage into our room. Our room was small but enchanting with a lovely window that opened up to the main street in Gruyeres. It did not have AC (we knew this ahead of time) but it was equipped with a fan that kept us cool overnight. Our room had a lovely and spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner, wash rags, and a spacious shower. The hotel also had great wifi connectivity. The hotel host was incredible as well- unfortunately I didn't catch her name! She advised us to try to get dinner at a certain time as many restaurants in the town close early and when we decided upon eating dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible), the same hotel host was insistent on us getting a table by the window which had the most stunning view of the mountains during sunset. I would absolutely recommend that anyone visiting Gruyeres come to Le Saint Georges.

Absolutely lovely hotel! The room was so cozy, I had a window overlooking the entire town square, and the staff were so kind and friendly! I would love to come back!
