City Express Plus by Marriott Guadalajara Providencia

It was the worst nigh**are having a reservation with this hotel. I made a reservation since December of 2023 for a wedding where the bride made arrangements with this hotel. Since last week the problem started the hotel send an email requesting to make the payment right away at 3:00pm my time and if the payment wasn’t made by 6:00 pm their time they would cancel the reservation. They didn’t give a choice for payment only to make a transfer to and from a Mexican bank with some information the hotel provides. I did I got a confirmation from the hotel saying I had a room and today on a Sunday night I received another email saying my reservation was cancel long story short I made a reservation and paid with any kind of payment in another hotel. But they still have my money in this Hotel City Express Plus Guadalajara Providencia.

I was not able to stay in this hotel because they cancel my reservation without notification. I received an email several days before my stay stating that I had to pay the room in full on the day of check-in before 6:00 PM. I made the payment the following day to ensure they wouldn’t cancel the reservation. Then, the day after, I received an email that my reservation was canceled. I spoke to a manager but was unable to resolve my problem, she said they were SOLD OUT!! My guess is that they overbooked and canceled reservations randomly. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICES !!!

My flight was delayed which caused me to arrive at 1am at the hotel. Their check in time ended at midnight so I was left stranded in their lobby unable to find a place to stay at a hotel that night. I requested a refund for 1 night from the hotel staff, they said I need to contact *******. I contacted ******* and they tried to reach the hotel manager for refund approval but hotel management denied the refund request for the night that I was unable to check in to stay my first night. That’s not right and I will be staying elsewhere next time.

Tengan cuidado porque a mi familia a un día de la llegada les cancelaron sus reservaciones por dárselas a un grupo, aún cuando dejamos tarjeta de crédito como garantía. Y ni siquiera se disculpan mucho menos te ayudan a solucionar el problema.

Enero 30 hice 2 reservas para Mayo 16 Mayo 8 me mandan mail pidiéndome que garantice mis reservas y que tengo hasta mayo 9 a las 6.00pm para hacerlo o me las cancelan Mayo 9 les paso mi tarjeta y me mandan la confirmación de mis cuartos a las 12.14 pm Mayo 9 me cancelan mis reservas a las 6.00pm Mayo 10 hablo con Fatima Castro Ontiveros (Jefa de Venta Directa) y me dice que seguramente el sistema no dio de alta mi tarjeta y que por eso se cancelaron y que el hotel no tiene mas habitaciones, le digo que que tengo por escrito su confirmacion y me comenta que no se puede hacer nada y que mejor busque otro hotel. Es increíble la falta de profesionalismo y servicio por parte de una cadena hotelera tan reconocida como Marriot. Adjunto fotos donde demuestro que mi garantía llegó a tiempo y simplemente no les importo! Seguramente tenian el hotel sobrevendido. Tengan mucho cuidado cuando reserven con Marriot.
