コンフォート イン グエルフ(Comfort Inn)

Alas, this trip to the western regions of Ontario was plagued by distant hotels that, in spite of the smallness of the towns in which they were located, nevertheless seemed much further into the outer regions than most travelers would venture. This place had nice staff and a great free breakfast buffet, but another problem was that the TV was either broken or I couldn't figure out how to get it working. The free internet was good enough for me to do a Zoom meeting. Attached is a picture of how far out there it was located!

I wouldn’t suggest sleeping here at all. Especially if you have kids. They let some random stranger into our room and then continued to charge me a $200 extra because they said 1 towel got ruined. Complete scammer's.

We never made it to the hotel. The reason why we were travelling is a sick family member and they passed away before we could reach the hotel. I am sure it’s a nice hotel just the same

No issues with the property. Only thing that was a slight inconvenience was the continental breakfast. They had an employee serving rather than “buffet style” and it was very busy at the time. Not fair to her to have to grab all the juice, fruit, yogurt and prepare eggs and sausages all by herself. Could be adjusted to allow for easier guest access to juices and simple things

Smelled like smoke and mould. There was a massive party going on in the room beside us, called down to management 4x to shut it down. It kept starting back up. My kids were up until 5am with the loud music and yelling, plus the people were smoking in the halls. Asked management if they would be moving them or kicking them out for the second night, they said no they are long term guests. Ended up getting refunded and switched hotels. The pillows are awful, and the beds are rickety and super noisy as well.

Very clean room. Quiet. Front entrance closed for construction. Overall good and I would stay there again

Room smelled and no phone, went to reception was very rude, check in and requested to spray the room smells like mold

I was suspicious when we drove in to the hotel and half of it was heavily under renovation. I was assured that the renovation would not interfere with our stay. They were right! The hotel seems to host some longer term tenants, possibly migrant workers or international students. Fine. Until they had a gathering to celebrate the end of the week. I was traveling with my family for a tournament. We were in bed with lights out by 10pm. The people in the adjoining room hosted a gathering that started mildly around 9pm and progressed. By 2am the laughter, music and shouting had passed the level my earplugs would temper and we had to request the front desk staff to shut it down. It quieted for 10 minuted and slowly built back up an untollerably loud level within the hour. Someone else then knocked on their door and it seemed to shut down. The purpose of the trip was to rest well before my competition, which specifically did not happen.

Staff was friendly and property was clean. Unfortunately I did not have good experience because other guests were very loud and I was put in a connecting room where I could hear every thing coming from the other side. I had to call the front desk to get them to ask the other guest to be quiet, they did answer me and spoke with the other guest and the problem was resolved.
