リヴェンデル ホテル(Rivendell Hotel)

I stayed here for a night with my partner and my best friend in March. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with very friendly staff and a much needed cool drink. The rooms were very comfortable, the views were amazing, the staff were very accommodating and food was incredible. It is about 10mins from the Kandy CBD but I highly recommend this place if you’re in Kandy.

Just loved getting here as it really made us appreciate the secluded location once we arrived and were warmly welcomed. The views are stunning and the accommodation was comfortable. Staff were friendly & so helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Upon check-in, we had many issues in the hotel with cleanliness and hygiene. The manager and staff are polite and they have compensated by moving us to another room. Room 2/5 Service 2/5 Cleanliness and hygiene 1/5 food 3/5 I would not stay back but do appreciate staff efforts

The team Headed by Thilanka and his efforts to make us feel comfortable made the difference for our stay. Hansaka at the restaurant and Mithri at security definitely deserved a very good compliment for their service. Hotel was clean room service was good. Thank you Rivendell

Hotel needs renovation, don't think many people stay, only 2 other rooms taken when we visited which meant no buffet eve or breakfast. Service - staff tried but weren't very experienced and ended up a bit faulty towers.

Great stay, with nice accommodations! A very friendly group fo staff, with nice breakfast and dinner! Rooms were very comfortable and spacious for family with children. Would definitely recommend when visiting Sri Lanka.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rivendell over the holidays! We arrived in the middle of the night and they kindly provided a fruit plate so we could sleep in past the normal breakfast hours. And breakfast when we made it to the top floor dining room was excellent every day - some days were Sri Lankan, other days Indian (or a combo of both) and some we opted for simple toast and eggs. The staff were a highlight, very friendly and happy to help when needed. My other favorites were the rooftop with views of fruit bats flying overhead after sunset (we don’t get that in California!) and the large doors that fully opened onto the balcony in our room - perfect for soaking in the tropical scene. It was an easy tuk tuk into the city center and would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Kandy!

Very nice and clean hotel with GREAT service and wonderful staff. They went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Amazing views from the rooms as well as the roof deck (which has a pool!). Food was varied and always very tasty. Good location with easy access to Kandy and the surrounding areas. Looking forward to staying again!

The staff are all so helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is exceptional. Mr. Thilanka and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and were always eager to lend a helping hand. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds - on many occasions, we would drift off to sleep without even knowing. The food is also delicious - we really felt like we got a taste of the local cuisine. We would wake up in the morning eagerly awaiting our morning fruit juice, which never disappointed. Finally, the view from the pool deck cannot be beat, especially at twilight when the fruit bats migrate. Of all the places we travelled on the island, we got the most beautiful twilight / sunset pictures on the pool deck. We recommend for your next trip to Kandy.
